I just can’t with this complete loser, like in a world where my pregnant wife left me for another man and I knew it was my child, I’d fight hard to have as much time with my child as I could, b/c what kind of woman leaves a man while pregnant. A psycho? I’d want my child to have me in her life, at least in part so that I could be her lifeline if her mother chimped out.

ORRRR (and hear me out bros) a woman who has been pushed to breaking point by a husband who is narcissistic and retarded. Or as Piggy would probably say, “clinically” retarded. Obviously the courts assessed him as too retarded to even have every-other-weekend time, and having no income to pay child support with. What a fucking loser.

TLDR he probably beat Adrienne up and knew she could prove it, so she cut a deal to get her and the kid away from him.

Lets also take into account the possibility that aside from this being a case of Adrienne being an idiot and shacking up with a loser because she was too dumb to realise just how bad he was, it could also be a case that she was/is mentally unwell in her own right and had self esteem issues that lowered her standards to the point where even chris chan could have had a legit chance of scoring, and only when she got the therapy/meds/thetan-auditing she needed did she realise how bad a situations he had gotten into which pushed her to run for the hills and the safety of the pringle can.

Hell given fat's personality, his employment record as a senior citizen scamming insurance weasel, and especially given the mentally unwell pillpopper he rebounced onto, he may well have figured out she had issues and intentionally preyed upon her because he knew she was vulnerable.
