I think there's something missing from the timeline, something none of us know. Everyone is pretending that the cops broke down the door on the pastor's word, but I think it's clear they didn't. If the pastor's reporting alone caused the warrant, then why wait a week? The pastor's report merits a welfare check, not a warrant (based on what we know right now). Plus, the pastor's report presumably would bring CPS out, not the cops. I think there's something missing.

3. ???
4. Warrant and breaking down Balldo's Gate

I think it's at least possible that #3 ??? might be the ending of the appealstream, because the 3 p's (police, parents, pastor) certainly had the head's up to start examining Nick's streams.

• driving under the influence while a child is in the car
• leaving your child in a hot car
• supplying a child with alcohol and illicit substances
• allowing your child to be around illicit substances or their manufacture
• knowingly allowing your child to be around or in the care of a RSO
• leaving loaded weapons and sharp objects within the reach of a child

Oh wow, look at that! It's a bunch of things anyone with half a braincell agrees endangers a child, go figure. There's no "fortune telling" required of the State to see where these would end badly.
