US Biden says each generation has to ‘earn’ freedom, in solemn Memorial Day remarks - Every generation has to earn it, fight for it, defend it in the battle between autocracy and democracy

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden marked Memorial Day with a pledge that the country would continue the work of the nation’s fallen toward creating a more perfect union, “for which they lived, and for which they died for.”

Delivering remarks at a solemn remembrance ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, Biden said each generation must ensure the sacrifice of the country’s service members is not in vain.

“Freedom has never been guaranteed,” Biden said Monday under gray skies in the memorial amphitheater. “Every generation has to earn it, fight for it, defend it in the battle between autocracy and democracy, between the greed of a few, and the rights of many.”

The president added: “On this day, we came together again to reflect, to remember, and above all, to recommit to the future they fought for, a future grounded in freedom, democracy, opportunity and equality. Not just for some, but for all.”

Before the ceremony began, Biden, joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

In his remarks, Biden invoked the anniversary this week of the death of his son Beau, who served in Iraq and later died from brain cancer that the president attributes to his time stationed near toxic burn pits, to highlight the importance of honoring the service of those who came home with injuries, in addition to the dead.

Biden said that last year the Department of Veterans Affairs delivered more benefits and processed more claims than ever before. He credited the PACT Act, which grants automatic coverage for certain health conditions suffered by veterans by presuming they result from their military service.

“For too long after fighting for our nation, these veterans had to fight to get the right health care, to get the benefits they had earned,” Biden said. “Not anymore.”

Biden began the day hosting a breakfast at the White House for administration officials, military leaders, veterans and Gold Star family members.

What he says is telling but not in the way (((they))) mean it. We're very much under tyrannical oppression in the west, with White people looking on helplessly as they're being replaced in their own homelands and each and every government is a treacherous organization that will stop at nothing to continue the evil plan.

You know, when those men went to fight the Germans back at WW2... they were not fighting for the outcome we see today.

If they knew then what we know now, none would have gone on those boats to Normandy.

Friendly reminder that history has shown that your masters can make you kill each other by the millions and will face absolutely no consequences and probably go down in history as heroes (except for hitler) but there are people on here who still think the masses will rise up any day now. Imagine the kind of propaganda these people must have consumed to believe in such a childish idea.

Here's the thing though. Plenty of moments in history where things that shouldn't have happened, happened. No one knows how the match will be struck or when the explosion is going to happen.

Let's do a quick rundown.

French Revolution. Happened because the unaffordable bread was the straw that broke the camel's back. Before the revolution, life has gone to shit thanks to the rampant mismanagement that happened and the misery the people faced came from the Royals as well as the Aristocracy in general.

Golden Age of Piracy. Shit-tier wages, the expendable life of working in shipping for decades are what would eventually drive a dockworker to become a pirate and make way more money than the years they slaved away on the docks. Said pirate is Blackbeard.

World War 1. One day, crazy-ass dude with a gun shot the Archduke. This would kick off a series of events that would lead into World War 1.

The Balkan War. A man shoves a bottle up his ass, it breaks and then blames the Albanians kicking off the fall of Yugoslavia and the Balkan wars.

The thing about collapses are, its not a sudden event that takes place in a single day where your average citizen turns into a headtaking bandit. Its a gradual process. People have to enter the mindset from 'citizen' to 'headtaking bandit'. How fast this transition depends entirely on the type, stage and setting of collapse.

Another favorite example are Hurricane Katrina and the Fukushima disaster. The former, after New Orleans got hit by a hurricane and law was effectively limited to the evac shelters, looting became commonplace and frontier justice had to be applied. Nawlins is mostly occupied by niggers.

Fukushima got hit by a tsunami as well as an earthquake. Houses were wrecked but people didn't go on a looting spree an actively helped each other out.

TL;DR: I don't expect people to suddenly just 'rise up' like that of a Hollywood movie. I expect society to break down enough until the bad shit expected of breakdowns take place.

Tell all this to Tsar Nicholas II. Hell, look at Europe after World War I. The Ottomans, the Habsburgs and the Romanovs, all their dynasties collapsed and the British and French Empires were left severely on the ropes

The fall of the Romanovs has its beginnings in the Russian failures during the Russo-Japanese War and its resulting 1905 revolution, WWI having accelerated that decline. It didn't particularly help that Germany paid for Lenin to be clandestinely sent back to Russia to destabilise it.
