So Donald Trump's opponents this time around are:
  • Joe Biden, Democrat
  • Robert F. Kennedy, Democrat-all-but-in-name (with a Dem megadonor VP to boot)
  • Chase Oliver, turbo-lefty former Democrat who is only running Lolbertarian because the Dems aren't gay enough
  • and Jill Stein, left-wing Green Party
I'm not missing something in thinking the third-party vote's gonna sink Biden, right?
FTFY

The ghost of 1992 is haunting this election.

Found out the worst thing about Chase Oliver from his Wikipedia page:

Is that Chase Oliver's drag name?
I'd trust fuckin Ralph, Baldoman, CWC, or goddamn Cyraxx in the presidency before I'll trust an HR worker. Lawyers, doctors, CEOs, etc attract psychopaths so a large portion of them are psychos but there are legit reasons to want to be one despite not being a psycho. There is no such thing as a non-psycho HR rep. HR reps are below crackhead niggers.

An HR rep of all things? What happened to libertarians? They were all about rugged individualism but now they've got a faggot with a woman's job as their presidential candidate. How much more of a joke can they be?

This is nothing but upsides for Trump. he made a good appeal to the Libertarians who actually are right-leaning, then right after the Libertarians nominate a full on commie for their candidate...

So, right-leaning libertarians will either flock to Trump (Net positive) or not vote (Net neutral). All while adding yet another left-wing candidate to peel off votes from Biden (net positive).

Now I'm not usually super keen on any "The judge should lose their job for this" style arguments because its usually ignorant of how broad a judges powers can be, but goddamn if that doesn't walk right along that line if not straight up cross it. Its one thing to let the prosecution get away with some wild shit, you can handwave it as "Appeal will deal with it, I felt it more important to facilitate the full presentation of evidence and cases to avoid any surprises.". But its another thing entirely for the judge to provide jury instructions that aren't just illegal by circumstance, but are actively and explicitly the opposite of the exact writings of what is legal to do, at the most basic of levels. That's absolutely fucking wild.

Which makes me really wonder just what's driving the judge at this point. This isn't just a career plateau move where you're never gonna go past that, this is an active career killer where you lose your job and do so under the kinds of conditions that all but guarantee you never have a career in that field again. Either the TDS is terminal in the most literal sense, or someone has either a very powerful bribe or blackmail over them that makes career suicide preferable to the alternatives, positively or negatively.
If that judge puts Trump in jail long enough to decide the election in the DNC's favor he can get whatever he wants.
We've seen with these Democrats, they honestly don't think they're ever going to face consequences for their actions. If anything, from this judge's perspective, running a highly politicised Show Trial of a former and potentially future President of the United States could only be beneficial to his career
The DNC will give him whatever he wants if he can stall Trump for a month or two.
The purpose of a real political party is to gain power. Whatever the purpose of the LP is, it's not to gain power.
The LP's purpose is to prevent actual conservatives from gaining power.

Wow, and I thought Gary "what's a leppo?" Johnson was embarrassing.
I don't even really blame Gary Johnson for not knowing what Aleppo was. Especially in the context of how it was asked of him. He was still a shit candidate though, but at least he wasn't as bad as this fag, pro troon, pro abortion, pro-grooming little kids candidate that the lolbertarians picked for themselves this time.

I'm ashamed to admit that in principle, I believe in a lot of the same things that the Libertarians supposedly do. (I think more of us than we'd like to admit would agree with the Libertarians *on paper*) But yeah in real life the Lolbritarians do shit like nominate this groomer faggot, even though it doesn't even seem like he was even popular among most people who actually willingly call themselves "libertarians."

At this point I am not sure what putting him in jail would actually do. Hell, I am not even sure the Democrats know what they want it to do. Lets say it works, things wrap up, Trump immediately goes to jail... sometime around the end of June. Earliest possible time. So they get at their most optimistic 5 months of Trump in jail.

What are the practical effects of this? He is still eligible to be president, he is still on the ballot, he now can really tail on the whole "I am being persecuted" angel, and he is unable to personally campaign.

The only real gain for the Democrats is the last bit and Trump gains as well. And the thing is... I honestly am not seeing it as that big of a gain for them. Trump is already well known and the only thing his appearances are doing is driving enthusiasm. Which him being arrested does on its own.

I am somewhat convinced that the arresting him truly is not the point and all they want to do is keep him off the campaign trail as much as possible. Or that if there was a point it has long since been superseded by events and now its all just running on momentum.

Most people aren't keeping up closely and may not be aware that they can still vote for Trump if he's in jail. The Democrats may try to push that misunderstanding hard.
