Coincidentally 2015 was when Shaun and Hbomberguy started their commie content, another two big breadtube players. Commentary youtube (Leafy, Keem, H3H3, Idubbbz) also ran parallel to Skeptics having some overlap in content despite being completely separate, growing out of Video game commentary and sketch comedy content. Trump Election ruined everything and everything merged and mashed together, the Skeptics imploded after a slew of bad decisions and infighting, Commentary imploded cause Big tech cracked down on content and Breadtube as something cohesive and coordinated emerged from the ashes of those two. Then Big Tech and the Silicon Valley Jews started pumping money into Breadtube and it became a mainstay, infecting all genres of content, mostly reviews but commentary as well. There are tiers to Breadtube though Tier 2 FD Signifier is not the same as Tier 8 Danny Gonzalez and Kurtis Conner.

The biggest breadtubers are mostly white, and mostly from the US, with the remainder coming from the UK (all white). New Atheism had a hand in shaping breadtube just like it did with the Sektur, but pretending breadtube is spawned from Britain is just wrong. The New Atheist movement wasn't a British movement, and instead mostly found traction in the US where Atheism was more novel and exciting, and had a mix of US and British content creators like the Amazing Atheist and Thunderf00t.
Mike from PA, Serfs, Xanderhal and Hunter Avallone are not big, like at all. FD Signifier, Dan Olson, Lindsay Ellis and a lot of others are much bigger than them. Also Serfs are from Canada. Breadtube has two opposing factions, the video essayists and the debatebros. Debate bros are a lot closer to the center and not simps for communism, closer to Bernie and Chomsky than Lenin and Stalin although theyre extremely slimy in other ways, particularly sophistry and baits. The Video Essayists are a lot closer to tankies but will try to portray themselves as reasonably centrist through "apolitical" videos, theyre extremely spiny right from the outset and are more alienating in general. Both hate each other for not being the real left or left enough and the Debate bros are more likely to side with the government/milquetoast shit like the Dems/Labour. The Debate bros are almost exclusively white but Video essayists have a lot more variety and diversity on display, even though the top video essayists are white.

The fact he says shit like that and his latest video which is a bloated mess filled with non sequiturs and bad arguements with so much confidence is what bothers me the most. Breadtubers and nearly all "content creators" (*I really hate this term) don't really understand what they're talking about, they have nothing interesting to say but they have the confidence, often stemming from their narcissism to just spew whatever half thought comes into their heads.
