if niock and kayla were to make a genuine recovery from the drugs, managed to get their shit together, and started properly caring for their kids again in a stable household, then in time most people would forgive him. maybe not his hardcore internet alogs, but people in his local community certainly will.

the big problem in my opinion is that nick still refuses to swallow his pride and won't admit to himself that he has done anything wrong. but that would be the precondition for taking steps towards salvaging his life, so as long as he won't do that things will just keep getting worse forever.
