Some of you may be wondering why I brought up Rob Cacy, and why that name matters at all.
Rob Cacy was the most offensive of the cancellations in CG's history. No one has ever experienced a more grotesque flex of control from Ethan and Malin than Rob Cacy.

For the price of a single LIKE and RETWEET, Rob Cacy was defamed as a traitor, a coward, a liar, a "son of a bitch", a scammer, a no talent hack, and a snake.

I believe this incident is when they (Ethan and Malin) first realized that shooting down creators inside of CG produced more drama bux than searching for conflict outside of Comicsgate. Rob Cacy proved to be an easy win for them, and they chased the rage for Rob Cacy into funding their books.

Listening to this now. This bit he's doing where he's super angry about a series he doesn't really like ( Mad Max ) except for one movie ( Fury Road ) being destroyed by the CHUDs is comedy gold! ( I mean I guess bashing the original Mad Max trilogy by him is supposed to sell old time fans on this newest entry.) He's such a good actor. If I didn't know this insane rant was insane, I might even believe he was being serious. I mean he hasn't seen it, he's not sure if he's going to see it because "it's been ruined for him," but he's mad that the CHUDs just hate women and good movies!

This is a good follow up to his long comedy bit about Dial of Destiny where he was so furious at everyone for figuring it was going to be hot garbage and then he finally saw it and... it was indeed hot garbage. Oh, and him going after Gina Carano is *chef's kiss* because the failure of this movie is certainly her fault and proves she deserved to get blacklisted.

Oh, and he's calling out those hack frauds at RedLetterMedia, who gave an honest, positive review of Furiosa (and who are known for nitpicking movies in their reviews even when they like them). He better never go back and watch old Siskel and Ebert reviews.

Thunderdome is better than the new ones at least but it's more like Waterworld/Postman camp tier. Tina Turner is where the Mad Max girlboss stuff started if you think about it and they are just making less compelling spins on that now. Maybe they can bring back Mel one last time for Mad Max: Furry Road where in a grim future one man is on a mission to gas all furries.

Thunderdome is half good. The second half where it becomes all about the kids and turns goofy is unfortunate. It reminds me of Return of the Jedi and how that movie starts to get goofy with the Ewok battle. I think the only time a more comedic sequel worked in that era was with The Last Crusade. Although, Star Trek IV was pretty amusing at the time, too.

He's in full overpromise mode since the McFarlane chose another son. No figure is going to actually come out for another 3 years. If he wanted to buck the trend he could have made a batch he was confident in selling so he could ship it out immediately. No one wants to be waiting for more than 2 years for anything, that's not the way the comics industry should work... or anything that isn't a luxury product.

I don't think he told them. I think the intensity of his kvetching brought them to a point where they likely didn't even know that others had reached out to stop the pain train. They took it upon themselves to try and stop the source of Ethan's agony. Just too hard to watch in their group chat I guess.

I noticed that too. Its a keeping up with the Joneses thing now. I'm not sure he's even paying attention to the checks his ego is writing with his future as a collateral. What do know is that James Gunn and DC are gonna continue to use DC assets related to Ethan's work. The royalty checks will keep him afloat with a couple $80k checks a year for the use of Iron Heights prison (because DC and WB can't think of a better name for a super human jail).

What should be clear is that, unless there is a terrible twist of fate, Comicsgate will not completely disappear. So long as Ethan has a lifeline from the major studios related to his comic work, he will force the hashtag onward. Even if it's just him and Malin left.

This is where Zack lost me. He didn't really see much of the original Mad Max movies, yet that qualifies him to say Fury Road was a great Mad Max film. The most objective positive reviews I heard of that movie was that it was OK.
