It's extremely obvious that Barnes is retarded and/or being deliberately obtuse. He's doing the lame defense attorney thing where he refuses to consider any potential evidence against Nick is even plausibly credible unless and until it's proven with 100% certainty. Of course, if you applied such a ludicrously skeptical principle consistently, you couldn't justifiably believe anything.

What's not obvious to me is what incentive he has to jump to Nick's defense at this point. He (and the other balldowashers) could get away just saying they're going to refrain from making any judgment until testimony and other kinds of evidence are subject to scrutiny in a potential trial.

Just was thinking. The starving and child abuse is the type of thing the people on my 600lbs life seem to have in the past. Some seem to have some sort of psychological trauma from childhood and related to food availability (either too much or too little). IDK I don't watch it all that often.

the latter would not be justice, it would be vigilantism. and when vigilantes become the norm, then just about everyone will take "justice" into their own hands (especially when they don't agree with what a court of law rules in cases relevant to them). at the same time, the actual meaning of justice will become distorted.

additionally, i went to law school. in short, due process is "the opportunity to be heard."

there is procedural due process and substantive due process. one is laid out in procedural law, the other is a right given to a citizen by the Constitution. if you just hand out street justice/ commit vigilantism, then you (not Yellow dude; you as in a person in general) Ignored due process. hopefully, no one Decides to Deprive you of your right to due process.
