Because I find it very hard to believe that just one fucking setting was all that was holding him back from being a 1900+ Master ranked player. I'm not the most tech-minded person I don't know what HDR is I don't know what refresh rate means I don't know any of this stuff and I doubt Dave knows either.

Phil is definitely a step down from people who actively harm others. I think that's obvious. He can barely hurt his fight stick let alone physically hurt a person. No kids either so Jasper is the only "child" he's harming. Kat signed up for most of this so sympathy is less there.

He's more passive in his harm and crimes, if that makes sense. If you had a kid who somehow became a DSP fan, first, get counseling ASAP, but also, it's easy to see how a weaker person could fall for his bs. He's right up there with pickup artists who build "communities", how they knowingly prey on people they perceive as lesser than them and use language to make those people feel included. Lots of us vs the world talk, and how often "we" gets thrown in when it's really "I". Phil knows that his audience is a mix of younger people and people in their late 20s/early 30s who have followed him for years and believe anything he says. COVID was his best friend, not only because he made a ton over those 2 years, but he was able to really go hard into the para-social relationship crap with some people.

And I'm not putting aside the other shady stuff he does, how he tries to go viral talking shit about companies who will never respond, all of his white collar fraud, just being toxic for no reason, etc.

As always, Phil is a decade late to upgrade and change anything and acts like he's discovered fire and deserves praise when he institutes what I would consider the industry standard at bare minimum regardless of him still being a console pleb. Yelling at every person that has tried to help him along way.

In 3 years he will play the smash hit Among us with Derich & the Gang. In 4 years Phil will discover a new game you can actually play on the Internet called chess (I really wish he would do so one day). In 5 years he will replay Cyberpunk 2077 because alodapeepul told him so and it's actually good now and in 6 years he will start the DSP Dentcord, which will be as dead as his forum after all detractors got banned and the larpers got bored. And in 7 years he will do a re-äck-tion to the Turkey Tom video.

He also appears to have bought the card that is capped at 4K @ 30fps:

Which is fine if you want to do 1080p @ 60fps, but you can't capture 4k @ 60fps, it's pretty clear about that. There are models that do that, but it seems like he did not get said model.

Could have also just gotten the Elgato 4K X which does it, but Amazon consumer that he is, he probably just searched for 4k capture device and bought whatever popped up. In the age of being able to not only search for any question you could have, but also find videos on how to change things, it boggles the mind to see it live. DSP is simultaneously a man child incapable of making choices himself and a boomer incapable of pulling himself out of eternally 2010 talk, with a hint of 1950s humor.

I do wonder if it’s all just a lazy (what a surprise) attempt at interaction with his audience. Then again, seeing as his parents coddled him, I wouldn’t doubt that he’s also an idiot.
