The not so subtle difference is that if a woman made an analogous post it would make no sense beyond it being a bad lie. For broads the issue is when there is not enough "shit afterward" (read: commitment), rather than there being too much of it. They can jill off all they want - it'll never get them off as much as attempting to tie down and emasculate a man.

Statistically, men not only suffer it more frequently but are better at dealing with it. This is backed up by basically every study ever done on the effects of loneliness with a focus on men vs women.
That's not to say it's pleasant on average for either sex (most people want a relationship), but when a man says "lol I can just jerk off" there's a much higher chance that he's not just coping and looking for validation and is genuinely the kind of man who thinks that's true. When a woman says it, unless she's post-menopausal or severely fucked up from some trauma around men, she's coping and looking for other women to go "Yeah fuck men I have a dildo!" or whatever because the dopamine will make her feel good.

You're right though, that would be a lonely cat lady post and it is a lonely gooner post. The difference is that the men called it out for being a lonely gooner post, while the equivalent thread for women would have supported it.

funny thing is I'm not particularly lonely, I'm in a public facing job and I deal with an endless supply of idiots daily.

when I go home at night, the last thing I want is more people. fuck that noise

All right, I can respect that. However you're still missing out something fierce. You should find someone and enjoy some love and companionship while you can. There's plenty of time to beat off alone when you're older and past the age you want intimacy and maybe children.
