I was thinking about who all of Nick's actions have fucked with and I feel bad for his Dad. Correct my if I'm wrong but I want to say that Nick is an only child. He's also in his 40s so his father is somewhere around 70 years old.

He mentioned that his Dad tracked that the drop off schedule was 80s miles, so it seems to me that his Dad is taking care of that for him. It's also reasonable that his father wouldn't want to go and read all of the arrest documents and is probably too busy to do so. He might just want to believe his only son while driving every day. You can say he's enabling and you can say that he spoiled Nick which is true, but at least I understand it. I would call + email the sheriff's department asking about that. If they don't respond, understandable because they're probably flooded, if you live close enough you could try just driving down there and asking about it in person. Worst they can do is turn you away.

Even if he doesn't know about that specific part of the footage, he's a retard if he doesn't realize it's coming out at some point, one way or another, and it's going to fuck him even harder than what all has happened so far. From the way that TUG and Camelot were talking, I think its wrapped up in a potential strategy to invalidate the warrant in court.

a) The children were never in danger.
b) The fact that the police waited a week to raid Nick's house proves that they didn't care about the children anyway. If they cared about the children they would have gone in immediately.
c) Because of (a) and (b), the true purpose of the warrant was to execute an illegal search of Nick's house for drugs.

Therefore the warrant should be thrown out.

Therefore Nick is completely innocent.

I would guess that this is what all of Nick's cryptic comments have been pointing towards about us not knowing the "real facts".

Not currently. The sheriff's office is saying the footage is not public until the investigation is closed, contrary to my interpretation of their statute. I contacted the AGs office and they weren't much help other than giving me an email address that I'm currently waiting on a response from.

Someone else way back in the thread said they were having problems obtaining footage from a department in another state, and after contacting the AG they were told to release it. Really hoping for the same outcome here but I'm not holding my breath. You can go back in my post history and read the email from sheriff's office if you want to.
