Talked with my brother about the case, he talked about how he would have thought Count Dankula will do something like this first, which made me wonder if it's the classic midlife crisis of a guy who came to the conclusion he missed out on his early years due to school and now engages in full on drugs and sex (unlike Dank who sounds like he already gone over that phase, plus probably having people who'd beat the shit out of him if he tried it). Which wouldn't have been as bad if there weren't kids involved in his actions.

Alternative is that it's a combination of never being directly exposed to people who ruined their life through drugs and thus not knowing how bad he looks.

Except that disbarment seems unlikely in Balldo's case because there's no claim or evidence of deceit, theft, fraud, y'know, those kinds of circumstances that demonstrate that he is likely to be an ineffective advocate or untrustworthy with client funds.

The practice of law (even though Rackets hasn't actually practiced in years) tops the list of professions that produce the most alcoholics and drug abusers. If they disbarred every lawyer with a substance-abuse issue or got busted with drugs, we'd hardly have any lawyers left and  then where'd we be. [Insert Lionel Hutze nightmare clip here]

Most Professional Responsibility commissions will try to steer lawyers with abuse problems to rehab and counseling. Maybe a license suspension during that period, but short of Nick doing more and more reckless and retarded shit, I doubt he'll face disbarment proceedings.

I know a lawyer that's been busted several times for having drugs, having drugs and guns, driving under the influence, and so on, and all he got was license suspensions (until he really fucked up, and  then he lost his license).

I gotta say though, Nick seems like he finally got caught with his mask off. It's been slipping over the years, but this arrest and all just shows what was always there; a subhuman piece of shit who never should have had kids. I really think he was always a disingenuous fuck, it just became harder for him to keep up the act as the money, women, and drugs became easier to get. Sure, people are inherently lazy, and get used to "better' in a hurry, but the level of degeneracy he's wrapped himself up in wasn't created by the situation of his celebrity, or even enhanced by it, it was always part of his potential base, a low he would absolutely have no problem getting to given the ability. That bodes really poorly for his chances at turning his life around, and even worse for his kids. I'd also say that if Kayla doesn't separate from him and attend to her situation and her children's situation first and foremost, then she's just as bad, and those kids don't have a fuckin chance if they're put back into these degenerates care.

I was never around to see Ralph before his downfall so I only really saw the rage pig lolcow side of him. I was first exposed to Rekieta during the DropKiwiFarms saga and thought he was /ourguy. I went from indifference/some sadness for him when he first started the alcoholic arc to being an A Log when I heard about Dear John and when he started getting into the polycule shit. The child neglect is another issue altogether. Imagine being a worse father than Ethan fucking Ralph of all people. That is quite the fucking accomplishment. I'm a gun autist. Sig makes good shit, anything really more is unnecessary Gucci diminishing returns. .223/5.56 designation effectively means nothing. Very few AR's are exclusively.223 meanwhile all 5.56 uppers can handle both. His whole load out was pretty good ngl, not a fan of boomer 1911's but still a nice piece.

Sadly they'll all be destroyed if he takes a plea. Even if he gets a sweetheart deal to drop the charges upon completion of probation.

The closest Nick has come to something disbarment-worthy in all of this so far is attempting to represent the other defendents. You can't do that as a co-defendent because of the conflicts of interest in doing so. However even with that, at this stage it seemed pretty immaterial. In the unlikely event Nick attempts to do that for the actual trials, that'd be a different matter.

While it would be absolutely based and homewrecking pilled of her to do so I doubt she’d go for it since it will cause her to highlight how she looks as well. Right now she has a chance to walk, but the potential for her to be taking a new mugshot goes up as more and more evidence enters the court of public opinion, since the legal court is also observing what is said. I’m fairly certain the only reason she got cut loose was because Rekieta said she was just a friend and since that has been proven a lie anything could happen.
