Are you guys for real arguing that 12-16 year olds can't do their own laundry and make their own food?
If the plans of the house someone found are accurate, the laundry room is connected to the Master Bedroom walk in  dungeon closet. The washing machine might be too close to the dragons den to regularly utilize, for fear of waking the strong out hungover fornicating lunatics, or setting off Daddy.

Ethan Van Sciver claiming his parents were drug addicts is a new one. The original story was that his father was broke, unemployed and mentally ill. That their family problem was poverty and too many kids.

His childhood has nothing to do with Nick's kids.
I thought his father grew weed for the mafia. Really, he told us that.

And who is buying the supplies? Does he need a full time job now too in addition to being a full time parent and full time student at 16 years old?

You people really are irredeemably retarded.
Hydrogen peroxide can be found in many places:
- toothpaste
- dishwasher liquid
- stain remover
- bathroom tile cleaner
You can even mix it with household vinegar to create a beverage
That ungrateful leech should PULL UP and purify these items to get hydrogen peroxide.
This is obviously a joke and no, don't mix it with vinegar, it creates nasty peracetic acid. I learned it the Darwinism way. Don't be a retard.

On the 'government conspiracy angle', I'll be honest, I could buy in that the small, insular community they live in and are a part of IS doing a sort of community justice, going by past streams of Nick SEETHING about prudes, you can infer he was reached out to by members of his community and rather than take their concern at face value he doubled down and disparaged them as 'not understanding'..
Even if it were a conspiracy, it's still Balldo's fault, unless the pigs planted all the drug paraphernalia there which is impossible because we now know there were like 10 officers.

But to act like a fucking 16 year old is incapable of figuring out how to do laundry or make some food is ridiculous.
NOBODY is saying a 16-year-old is helpless. We're saying a 16-year-old who needs to go to school for 8 hours a day and has homework to do shouldn't be expected to also care for 4 other much younger siblings.

I would struggle with a meal for 4 kids now and I'm a pretty decent home cook. What the fuck can a 16-year-old do? Just toss a bunch of frozen shit in an air fryer I guess?

That's assuming they had ample food and cleaning supplies. Or maybe that ungrateful privileged brat should have grown his own potatoes to make his down damn fries and churn his own butter because people did that in 1800.

we don't know that.
a prenup could be in place, and it could also be the case that all of "nicks" wealth is actually the property of some rekieta family foundation that is controlled by a board of various other family members - his parents, uncles, aunts, cousins etc.
maybe the house is not his, it might be foundation property and they graciously allow him to live in there rent-free. maybe the monthly allowance that the foundation pays him is cut down to pennies as a punishment for him getting divorced.
we don't know the details, but if these things are set up right then kayla can't really take much from him in divorce court because nick himself is kind of a destitute bum who barely makes $1500 a month from superchats on his dying stream these days.
IIRC if you are the beneficiary of a trust in MN, the government can have your child support garnished from the trust, even if someone else is the administrator and you just receive money.

Did this retarded wine mom just reveal that she lets her kids pull clothes out of the dirty hamper? Or, God forbid, doesn't even get the clothes into the hamper and let's the kids toss their dirty clothes everywhere? Well no wonder you have to drink Sally!

It's not unreasonable to expect a young teenager to do laundry. They're capable of putting clothes in a washing machine and turning it on. These kids had terrible parents, but a good parent would be introducing them to doing laundry, basic cooking and cleaning at this point. By 14 a teenager should be able to take care of their own space, do their laundry and cook a few meals. Schools used to teach this things at that age and parents would ask their teenage children to help around the house to earn pocket money. It's a good way to teach them skills they will need when they move out while giving them cash they need with a sense of what it means to earn and value it.
That's not what we're saying. A 16-year-old shouldn't be expected to care for 4 other much younger siblings on top of all that.

Also they have homework and other activities that are far more important for personal growth than being able to do laundry. It takes a month living on your own to pick up all these skills. It's not needed when you're 16. That's when you should play, study, and have a good rest.

Re: The laundry.

Wasn't it pointed out by a few people looking at photos of the house on zillow and other similar midwestern homes that the laundry was in the master bedroom? You really can't blame a 16 year old for not wanting to deal with parent rage/sex/drugged up cokeheads/god knows whatever else to clean some clothes. Even though a 16 year old CAN do laundry, he shouldn't have to worry that he'll find the other couple living there on top of his mother to do so.

If Nick and Kayla being spared prison would result in the kids growing up like EVS then we need to get them locked up ASAP!

Dude...
  • Kayla has no job and no career
  • They have been married for nearly 20 yrs
  • They have FIVE children together
  • Nick has claimed multiple times to have MILLIONS
  • Nick has many assets
  • Nick is a minor celebrity
  • They have lived a lavish lifestyle their entire marriage
I don't need to be a lawyer to see how that goes. Even if all of the assets were untouchable, Nick would be paying for Kayla's livelihood for the rest of his life from alimony and child support alone. He would never be rid of those alimony payments. The whole reason alimony is based on "prospective income" is because of situations where Nick's assets are untouchable. There would be no mercy. As long as she hired a halfway competent lawyer, it'd be complete divorce rape.

With. What. Supplies?
This. We all know where this family lives and how far away they are from things. Oldest doesn’t appear to have a driver’s license or a job. He could be Gordon Ramsay but if there’s no food in the house to fucking cook with, how is he meant to feed himself and the others? Especially if knocking on the master bedroom door to ask Mom or Dad to go buy groceries gets him screamed at.

I live in a similarly rural area and DoorDash/Uber Eats/Postmates/etc. don’t exist out here. Meal kits require a credit card to subscribe. Even if the kids know how to cook basic meals, they had basically no way of getting supplies to do so.

If ethan was raised as a morman...I'm wondering if he too came from a large family. Mormons are notorious for having lots of kids and the older kids almost always are a pseudo parent to the other kids. Currently in Utah and the Mormon kids here definitely are different in that regard. Not defending his statement because that's definitely NOT the norm.
Here's a drawing of the family when EVS was young:

I don’t think either should see their kids again. Maybe when the kids are past 18, but fuck they were shit parents. Both my parents worked, but typically I’d get dropped off with grandparents or aunts and uncles (lived in an area where most were no more than 10 minutes away, so relatives would hold play dates frequently).

My parents still taught me how to do shit. My mom taught me basics of cooking to have me not burn down the house. My dad (who is not technical) encouraged me to learn to fix stuff around the house. My older siblings taught me shit when my parents were too busy because the older siblings in a functional family do that because the parents did the basics.

I don’t think Kayla and Nick did at all. I think Kayla feigned anxiety and incompetence at shit to avoid being an adult. I think Nick has always been spoiled and money was no object to him. Kayla can’t schedule with the other mothers for a play date for groceries? Hire a nanny/ driver.

Like shit nigga my parents had more kids than you. You had a strong Community that would’ve helped had you asked and you spurned them because they asked you to check yourself.

The Laundry Question is burying the lede here: it was the 6-year-old’s preschool teacher that reported her bing underfed and unclean, which means Nick and Kayla were so devoted to their drug use that they failed to take care of a child barely old enough to read.
The Spaghetti-O’s was probably the same kid. Any argument against this is just cope.
