I mean @Useful_Mistake can you ask your PD contact for clarification: which platform did the cop use to watch the deleted coke stream?
If anyone is actually curious, badger Rekieta into asking for that info in Discovery. I don't plan to bother anyone for meaningless stuff.

In fairness to Nick, meeting conditions is tough when you have any kind of extra drama complicating your life, and an internet hate following that's documenting your every move and might start anonymously fucking with you irl definitely counts. I wouldn't want to be out on conditions in his position, even without the obviously crippling addiction issues we all know he's facing.

I'm surprised he had to go through a bondsman though, what a brokeboy thing to do.
I can only hope that his parents have cut him off until he gets clean.

f he’d got into proper treatment for his obvious addictions he would have received medication to help him. There’s no way at this point that he can go cold Turkey but going to rehab to him is an admission of guilt (in his mind)! Perhaps the bondsmen is telling if a situation where financial flow from outside his home have dried up (like from his parents) also of note his morgage is near 5k a month with a massive dip in YouTube revenue. It’s all very bleak

Has Rekieta begun streaming again? Heard that he would but chicked out allegedly.
Nope, Rekieta decided to keep his retardedness to the leaked DMs and hasn’t gone live since his May 22nd award winning stream. I wonder how long it will take for him to decide to show get back on the Internet to clarify things and show us his pretty black eye.

Place your bets!

He really is going for the government conspiracy route.

Is it possible that Kayla is just out on the piss tests and no travel normal bond agreed to at the initial hearing? Maybe only Nick paid the bail because he knows he's a drunk who can't stay sober.

Or did I miss something and she's still in jail, I thought they both got released together before the weekend.

They are both out but I think you’re right. He’s got the bond so he doesn’t die detoxing.

Wow Rekieta. I'm starting to believe you when you said you grew up in the hood, because this is the most jiggaboo defense of them all.

I don't know if I should be angry or not at Barnes actually ruining another person.... on one hand, the hack has found another victim. On the other hand... child neglect.

I think my end feeling is that Rekieta is getting the legal advice he deserves...

I really liked how Legal Mindset put it on Kino Casino yesterday. Barnes is doing to Nick what Nick did to Vic—turning a legal case into a fight for some alleged greater principle even though it's adverse to the best interests of the litigant. There's so much poetic irony in this situation. If you had written a fictional screenplay that covered the main points of Nick's decline and fall, it would be critiqued as too unbelievable.

Maybe only Nick paid the bail because he knows he's a drunk who can't stay sober.
Or maybe she's realized she's better off separated from Nick's legal circumstances, is listening to her family rather than Nick, wants to approach this from a conciliatory viewpoint so that she can reduce her potential liability and put herself in a better position to get back her kids in the future, etc. If that's the case, Nick may have just decided to blow her off and solely focus on his own situation. That would make him a terrible husband and father, but it really wouldn't be surprising at this point.

"Kayla Rekieta did not speak with officers at the jail. While being booked, she requested her prescription medication be brought to her. While reviewing the prescription bottles for Kayla Rekieta, jail staff found two unknown pills and gummies in one of the bottles. The complaint further notes the pills found did not match the prescription on the bottle."

Can't make this shit up.

In a trial, could nicks kids end up testifying against him and Kayla.
The younger they are, the less likely they would be called as witnesses. A 6 year old isn't a credible witness. But a 16 year old probably would be. I would bet that the prosecutor's office doesn't really want to bring this to trial for a ton of reasons—it's not an ideal resolution of the problem, it's not expected because it's not in Nick/Kayla's best interests, it costs money, it takes up time that is better spent prosecuting dangerous criminals—and common human decency would be a roadblock in calling a minor to testify against his parents. The prosecutor would probably also look for a witness that could provide the same information as one of the children so as to get around forcing a kid to testify against his or her parents.

But if the worst happens and Nick/Kayla actually go to trial, it is possible that the older kids could be called. There may be particular Minnesota law on the issue, though.

Kandiyohi County estimates the cost for the footage will be at least $3,000. The cost may ultimately be higher if additional police time is needed to search for, review, redact, or reproduce the footage. We estimate that approximately $6,000 will be adequate to ensure that all fees payable to Kandiyohi County under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act are covered.

The request may take several weeks or even longer to process. There is no promise the footage will be received or received on any particular date. They may have a right to deny our request or cite an exemption that protects some portions of the footage. If the County denies our request, it is likely that this video or at least portions of this footage will eventually enter evidence and be made public once it has been admitted as evidence in Court. Minnesota law protects the privacy of individuals seen in bodycam footage and the footage may be censored. It is impossible to predict how censored the footage we obtain might be.

This money may be used in ways other than directly paying the bills of Kandiyohi County. In particular, Minnesota Law permits people involved to consent to having footage released, which greatly helps with getting it released. We are exploring the idea of financially compensating individuals who consent to the release of footage.

If there are significant excess funds, or if our request is denied and no participants consent to having the footage released, the money will be donated to an appropriate charity at my sole discretion (but I will probably run a poll first).

As a PR approach, I think he plans to shrug off the drug and gun charges in lolbertarian fashion. Powder in evidence is pretty hard to deny, so he'll just say it shouldn't be an issue. He already claimed the guns were secured, including the one under the bed with a receiver lock, so same dismissal.

The "narrative" he keeps whining about is that his kids were neglected and his house was filthy. That's the one causing real outrage--if his kids were perfectly normal and he got busted for cocaine, there wouldn't be nearly as many people turning on him. I think he badly wants to come out and call everyone in Spicer a liar... but he knows if he says that and the bodycam footage shows a filthy house, he's 100% done, even with his remaining supporters. I think he's waiting to stream until after the footage drops, so he knows how much he can get away with saying.

This is probably also the basis of his current legal strategy too. Others have said a first time drug offence gets you a relative slap on the wrist, if he can avoid being charged as a dealer. (Those last 1.68 grams may still come into importance.) If he concedes on the most concrete evidence, fights the gun charge a little before compromising, and comes out hard against the neglect charges, he might get a plea package that makes him look like less of a shitbag on paper.

A year from now we may get the stream, "See? They dropped the neglect charges! It was one time that we left the house without breakfast because the kid slept late, not me, just like I always said, and now it's just bullshit probation for bullshit things that should be legal anyway!"
