He surrounded himself mostly with people who were completely incompetent, or actively sabotaging him. That means he's terrible at the job, by definition. Losing Bannon & Flynn definitely hurt him there, but at some point you need to be good at reading people to be effective at a job like that. And his 3 nominees to the Supreme Court were all Catholics, and not the good kind. This only served to put the courts focus on abortion (which only turned all the wimmens against them) rather than enabling cases to be brought that could help root out the Marxist influences in the government.

Also, for someone who actively claimed to be draining the swamp and going after the Deep State, he somehow didn't think it made sense to pardon Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, the two people who did the most to actually uncover the work of the Deep State. Instead, he pardoned Kwame Kilpatrick, a corrupt politician from Detroit.

And he had 4 years to declassify all of the bullshit done by the CIA, NSA etc against our own people, but he couldn't be bothered with that either. Did he think it would make the media and establishment hate him more or even come after him legally? lol oops

Yea, I get the sentiment that the support for a lot of things really is gay af, and it is sorta pozzed to orange guard the man like he didn't fail on a bunch of his promises, but this is one of the few times where no matter how much of a lolcow or a piece of shit you think the guy is, the most moderate alternative to him would literally have any one of us stoned to death for saying "nigger" or "troon". I also don't want to moral fag and act you shouldn't be able to shit talk someone as lol-worthy as Trump or act delusional like Donald Trump is America's only hope or some gay shit like that, but at a base level I think the current regime is destroying the country and all I care about it getting them out.

The truth is his supporters don't mind him being criminally inclined, you just get upset when he gets caught. The lesson is not to get caught.

Realistically nothing is stopping Trump from running. Debs did it in 1920 running on the Socialist ticket, the difference between Debs and Trump is that Debs went to prison for speaking out against US involvement in WW1 which was a violation of the recently signed Seditions Act (free speech against US involvement in war - Wiki); Trump got charged with misappropriation of political donor funds and falsifying records while he was already on the campaign. While Debs picked up 3.4% of the popular vote or around 900k captured voters, it was mainly due to platforming on political free speech. Trump could try to spin it and he is actively already doing so to appeal to the persecuted complex of said 1A rights, but the issue is that’s not what this recent trial was about.

TLDR: sure he can get votes from new voters, but he’s going to lose too many that were already on the fence to make up for it.
