The thing is, it shows true motive. If they just wanted the money, liquidating makes no sense as he makes more money podcasting, and they get more too in the long run. They REALLY want infowars to be nonexistant anymore, but Jones can do it with a phone if he has to. Podcasting can be done anywheres with minimal infrastructure.
I guess the next step is making sure Jones never has access to a pc or smart phone again. So they're gonna find CP next to make sure he can't access the internet?

Or they could just kill him. But I don't think they want that. They want to make it so Jones is on the streets of Austin pan handling. They want him to die a slow death.

I am fully expecting for there not to be any announcement of the country being in a recession as long as Biden in but if Trump wins in November, news channels suddenly won't shut up about it.

A whole bunch of things are being kept going until after the election. If they rig it for Biden, it doesn't matter. He's a senile old fool who they'd swap out shortly into his second term. Use him as the fall guy.

We know they're keeping Ukraine going until after the election. They've said as much. Why did they just announce the Gaza war will continue until next year? Same thing.

I think unless both countries are put under immense pressure, as long as Ukraine has Zelensky they will have a war with Russia and as long as Israel has Netanyahu there will be a war with Gaza. From now until November Biden will bring up peace proposals time and time again that go nowhere. If Biden wins nothing changes. If Trump wins maybe the conflict in Ukraine will end sooner or just the European countries will choose to back it meanwhile Israel will be allowed to do whatever it wants.

I'm pretty sure they're gonna keep Biden in the oval office until he croaks. Or until people start noticing the smell or Biden's absence in person.

We all thought that Biden was gonna get swapped out for Kamala after the 2022 midterms to maximize her presidency. But that didn't happen. Probably because no one likes her and she doesn't want to be president anyways.

-This- is what I mean. Such shoddily done polling so soon after is only meant for headlines. Hell I almost called this one verbatim. There is a reason I said ". So none of the polls coming out right now reflect the effects of this, for good or ill.". We will get plenty like the Reuters one but they are.,... fantastically pointless. People need time to let their opinions settle and we do need breakdowns of the numbers. None of those are going to be in early response polls, which are done quickly and sloppily for headlines.

...Isn't it alarming how much of modern-day politics are based on the assumption that you can just pretend reality is something different than it actually is?

I don't know if you have any personal political experience but if you do not... let me inform you it is far worse than you realize on the inside.

I don't think asking if ppl will vote for a "convicted felon" can give a real representation of what people will actually vote like. when most people hear "convicted felon" they think murder, rape, drugs or other heinous crimes not accounting errors.

Let alone a stitched together case that even the DOJ and FEC didn't bother with. There's so much wrong with this thing, it's no wonder they made sure it was tried in NYC.

Not just tried in NYC, but with their specific judge. Its honestly a good sign at large that they have had to rig the system, it should be a random choice, to get the same judge on every case involving Trump.

I'm aware that it's worse on the inside though I'll admit i probably can't comprehend the scale.

I honestly think that it's a form of subjective magic† that is overwhelming the perception of reality. Subjective magic is a very powerful thing, but it comes at the cost of rebuilding reality into a house of cards that will collapse if the illusion breaks

†subjective magic is magic that is perceived to be real. So if for example you believe that shiny rocks radiate good karma, then seeing a room full of shiny rocks will give you the impression that a room has good karma. In reality the shiny rocks have no tangible effect on the room, but it changes the perception of the room to viewers that have been conditioned to associate good karma with shiny rocks.

I have watched as a politician read that he was going to lose his house seat, proceed to shake his head and laugh, crack a joke about how "nobody would ever vote for [them]" and then toss the report we had made for him into the trash.

He lost his seat.

Then subjective magic has been a core component of the US intelligence agencies since world war 2. I think this is a generational issue - the prior generations worked this shit out, and taught the majority of it to their proteges, but because they had gone through the struggle to work it out they were always cautious and humble with it (well, most of the time). But one of the tenets of subjective magic (which has another name that I am completely blanking on, but was worked out as part of the propaganda efforts against the axis powers) is that confidence can brute force you through 60% of the time, so to make them better manipulators the mentors didn't teach their proteges caution, so they think they're actually wizards manipulating reality itself. Then in the nineties the intelligence agencies took the crown, and they have been barebacking us into the dirt ever since and wondering why everyone is getting upset.

It's more than just asking about candidate preference though; any good pollster will also want to know why a specific candidate was selected. Asking such follow up questions answers what's driving support patterns and whether certain recent events explain movements.

For example the lack of change in Reuter's poll could be because the economy dominates, or people are further incensed at the blatantly political machinations in the guilty verdict and digging in their heels. Both are very different reasons and affect predictions regarding where this election is going differently, but you won't get the answer to it by simply asking Trump vs. Biden in a poll.
The whole issue was that the poll supposedly wasn't post-verdict, when everything says it was. The questions asked are irrelevant. It doesn't take a week to run a simple poll, you can set that up in a day, which they did.

I don't know what it so difficult to understand about this. That other, more complicated polls exist is simply not germane to the issue. This was a simple poll carried out immediately after the verdict, that's perfectly possible to do, happens with big events all the time.
