US Free Palestine protesters BLOCK Philly Pride parade in progressive standoff - "No Pride during genocide."

The Philadelphia Pride Parade was disrupted on Sunday when Gaza agitators prevented the Pride parade from crossing 11th Street and continuing on its way down Locust Street. Drag queens, trans folx, and Pride flag waving persons looked confused as they were unable to proceed down the parade route.

"PPD, KKK, IOS you're all the same," the Gaza protesters shouted, waving signs that read "Long live the Intifada." Police blocked thr group of Pride paraders from the Gaza agitators.

Pride parade drummers wearing rainbow epaulets encountered Pride groups waving Pride flags streaked with red paint and emblazoned with the words "No Pride during genocide."

"Palestine will live forever, from the sea to the river, free, free Palestine," the Pride marchers chanted, wearing rainbow feathered mohawks, keffiyehs and leather."

The Philadelphia Pride March and Festival began naar Washington Square Park in Center City and went down Walnut Street to the Gayborhood, an ecclectic neighborhood of gay bars, coffee shops and bookstores.

The procession was set to end at 1100 Locust Street, where they marchers were met with the Gaza agitators. The festival was set to begin in the Gayborhood where food vendors and craft sellers were set up.

The theme for this year's Pride Parade and Festival was "Be You," and was "an ode to the Reminder Day Demonstrations that were held in front of Independence Hall on Chestnut Street from 1965 until 1969 to raise awareness of bigotry, prejudice, and discrimination toward the LGBTQ+ community and to send the message that 'Gay is good.'"

The Pride events in Philadelphia also featured the largest Drag Queen Story Hour event of all time.

In honor of Pride 2024, Philly just hosted the largest Drag Queen Story Hour event ever. The USA was founded here in 1776.

I eagerly await a counter protest by the parade organizers involving holding up similar flags that read we take pride in genocide to really set things off
I seriously wonder what side I should take, as I am gay and Jewish and this whole thing confuses the fuck out of me.
