I don't think so. In fact, I've made it more prominent in my "current thing" fag flag:

• Moved Ukrainian flag to center and made it more prominent to indicate our continued support for our Xisters in Kyiv
• Added "Pinch" to rainbow to make room for top and bottom chevrons
• Searched for "Furry Pedophile Pride Symbol" in safe mode and added it to the interior of the circle to symbolize the LGBT community is a safe and inclusive place that supports people of fur
• Added Palestine flag chevron on opposite side to show support for the struggle of Gay Palestinians against Israel colonizers.
• Added Israel / Jewish pride flag on top chevron to recognize the significant number of gay jews and significant role of Jews in promoting homosexuality
• Added demi-gender bisexual asexual poly gender-special color "grey" on bottom chevron for those not represented by rainbow colors
• Searched for "abortion symbols" and added coat hanger in bottom chevron to symbolize support for birthing persons right to safe and effective abortions and birth control

Aside from the lack of "social media culture" and "smartphone zombies" back in the '00s, "Pride Month" was just "Pride Week" (IIRC) and wasn't as big of a deal anyway, there was just the less prominent rainbow flag instead of that "Progress Flag" (which became a thing in 2020 IIRC), exposure to LGBTQ was almost always considered inappropriate for children, questioning LGBTQ was controversial but didn't make one a "Nazi worthy of being cancelled" by SJWs, and of course there wasn't as much demonizing of heterosexuality.

But here we are in 2019 and would anyone honestly deny that for all it's faults the 2000s was still a better decade than the 2010s?

As an amateur vexillologist that thing hurts my eyes, not so much because of what it represents but because of how much of a God dang mess it is. It's just too complicated, at least the original rainbow flag is fairly simple and has an aesthetic appeal of sorts.

This adding shit to it every year doesn't work, from a purely design perspective.
