Sam was more generous with the Season 1 cast. I think Shinji figured he could at least make runner up. Catch a big check like Letty. Didn't happen this time.

Shinji was mislead by production and crash. He was made to believe that he would have an easy streaming career after the show and was not prepared for any hate due to being protected from TTS. While yes it was very naive of him production should still be blamed for the misleading and scamming him of the golden cricket money. No contestant was prepared for how hostile S2 would be compared to S1.

He won challenges all season and came out with around 7-8.5k, taxes and the late fee basically nullified everything, so he was on the show for no reason. When Sam gave him that beetle everyone in the audience, Shinji and Crash assumed this meant that he was being given a runner up prize of about 15k since that is what the Golden Beetle was originally valued at during the search. Instead he just got a piece of plastic with fake gold drizzled over it in the shape of a beetle as a prize.

Jimmy continued to stream after that Q call last night and although there wasn't much to say about it he mentioned he's been reading the thread here on Kiwi Farms to acclimate himself to abuse from the community.

I don't know whether that strategy has been attempted before by lolcows on this site, or if it's going to work at all, but this is a good opportunity, I suppose, to pile on with the consent of the fish in question.

Let's start with this: nobody is REALLY to blame for what happened with you on the show but yourself. I can write your excuses for you- "it wasn't fair that you larped something traumatic for you" and "it wasn't fair that production piled on." But being warned not to get violent or lose your temper wasn't unfair of production given things about you that are apparent to everyone but yourself. You are wildly impulsive and you don't have control of yourself even during lighthearted games. If a referee gives a yellow card to a soccer player that he doesn't deserve, that doesn't grant him the right to punch the ref.

We just got done making fun of Abi for how she responded to the thread, by making excuses and seething. Your move is to use what's said here to build yourself, not build excuses. You do have anger and impulse issues. Clearly the programs didn't fix them, if they didn't cause them, but you have them. It's a fact. Start with accepting that.

I'm going to be real, I think Shinji is being a bit of a bitch. Yes, he got stiffed on pay, but so did everyone else besides TJ and they've all been making chickens salad out of the situation. It seems to me like he wanted instant fame and adoration while putting in zero effort.
