What terrifies me is it looks like it's a matter of time before taking screenshots of what people posted and laughing about it becomes prohibited by law in at least one 1st world western society. Because that's pretty much what's going on around here and is exactly what makes people so mad at the farms. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years you need a loicense to archive shit on the internet.

I recall a Norwegian lolcow (Adnan Komadaric AKA Kirinorway) whose exploits were recorded on some Finnish webpage, solely containing screenshots of his own posts. He then moved to Sweden and (as an EU citizen) got that page taken down under the "right to be forgotten". I don't know how much the law itself played into this (vs threats of legal action), but this was years ago.

It was just threats of legal action, and they were very empty at that. The closest EU law that enforces the "right to be forgotten" is GDPR but that's only for dox (addresses, bank details, and so on) hosted by a "data controller" or "data processor", it does not mean you can't publish screenshots of somebody's public posts. That's also assuming EU law even applies in the jurisdiction the screenshots were hosted, which it very well may have not.

When the news told her that the hacker known as Kiwi Farms was responsible for swatting her, she got all huffy and said that the website should be shut down and it's Democrats' fault that such lawlessness is allowed to exist. She had no idea what the Farms even was and just ran her mouth, either because she was upset or because she was posturing.
