End users do not represent the majority of Windows paying users, and they are absolutely not the people responsible for the bulk of Microsoft's earnings. Companies are. They have the corporate market cornered with their ecosystem. Windows, Office, Teams, Outlook and OneDrive are like a tapeworm around the guts of the entire world's office jobs and corporate computers.

End users can change to Linux pretty easy if they stop being niggers about it and just take a afternoon to learn a basic distro like Mint. But what about the offices and corporations and governments out there where the ENTIRE I.T. sector is just one big Microsoft enclave? How are you gonna get the fuckers in charge to change? How the fuck are they gonna deal with it? It's already a trial to get normies to use computers at work, imaging having to make them actually learn anything to do with computers!

This is why I hate Microsoft the most. They are a monopoly and they make the lives of everyone worse, even the people who leave their monopoly.

LibreOffice is pretty much compatible with most things you'd need a local office for, and Google Sheets (spit) does pretty well with normal Excel, but then you're trading one spy company for another.
