I almost feel bad for Ian, and it's a big almost hinging directly on the fact that I think modern psychology is garbo. He's a perfect example of somebody that seems to have taken the bait thinking that if he follows what they say and takes the magic pills it will improve his life, when the reality is that there are a lot more very bad prescribers out there v good ones and most of the time the treatment is just prescribing a pill that may or may not actually work. There's nothing wrong with therapy in itself, what makes it frequently worthless are these factors:

1. many therapists are grifters who don't even listen to you
2. of those remaining that do, many are just enablers who let you cry on their shoulder and tell you you're doing everything right
3. narcissists like Anisa expect that shelling out 50 bucks and complaining for 45 minutes once a week is all that's needed to fix them
4. after years of no improvement they still keep believing this and convince themselves to believe it even harder

Unless you have severe PTSD or something you should not be in therapy for years and years straight. You should become just about sick of it and ready to stand on your own two feet a few months down the line tops. I wouldn't be surprised if Ian and Anisa have unironically developed parasocial relationships with their therapists and that's the reason why they're so fucking obsessed with therapy.

It is a sign of loyalty from Max and Chad to have Ian Johma on. They know he's getting fewer views now, people have a very bad perception of him, and an episode starring him would get less views, and more controversy. Yet they did it for him, for the friendship they once had, while Mr Johma didn't even attend Max's wedding. They let him stay in the middle for the shot, being the focal point, and they called him "Head Chef", as if he was in charge of the action. They place him in the thumbnail in the optimal position. Even the very premise of cooking terribly with them must have been carefully selected, as this is reminiscent of their old, very popular hair cakes. They made it very easy for him to be funny, all he had to do was run with the jokes. But he looked very insecure and awkward compared to the two. That's the issue with amphetamines. You can feel super productive, while it's also almost impossible to get anything done. With the constant loop of dopamine releases that the drugs cause, the person taking it won't care.

I remember a few years ago watching a TV documentary. Part of the documentary was following these two guys who ran an illegal chopshop for stolen bicycles. They'd do meth and then try to saw apart the bikes and then weld them together from disparate parts, seemingly to make the new bikes harder to trace. They insisted that amphetamines made them better workers. But, watching them "work," they just seemed like two of the most annoying guys on the planet. Easily amused, distracted by their tools, distracted by noises, distracted by music.

I'm sure there are people who Adderall has helped, but I think anyone who I've ever heard saying it helps them simply figured out how to get cocaine in a pill, and they want to protect their new socially acceptable drug habit.

it just makes you really attentive to the task your doing at hand. i personally hated being on adderall when i was prescribed it because i would get constant stomach pains from it. it gives you that feeling that you can clean tile floors with a toothbrush.

Remember the whole trip wasn't just Ian. They met up with Hasan and some other guy too. How Ian can manage to get with Hasan like that is anyone's guess. But then again, pretty sure this trip was planned since at least October, since that's the last time Ian went to Aus and he talked about going back to make videos back then. Not sure how the timeline goes, but yeah, I think he just begged the boys to make a collab and begged to meet up with Hasan as well? Or maybe the trips just happened to match up coincidentally? Idk. Point is, I really just think he's clout chasing.

I'm super slow to the news, but I just saw the pics of MaxMoeFoe's wedding from several months ago. Hilarious how idubbbz was the only one from "the Filthy Frank crew" who wasn't there.

If they were real friends, they could even gently tell her if she stops speaking about people from her past or about people she doesn’t like, it’s over.
