His taste in media is extremely suspect. Him telling me "Furiosa is good, go see it," fills me with nothing but dread at the prospect. I honestly think he's still extremely angry that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, failed at the box office even though he didn't seem to like it when he finally saw it in the theaters. His attitude about everything seems to be "Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product" and to get extremely angry, MovieBob-style when we don't do that.

This is funny because there is one obvious exception here: comics. Comics are the one media which he criticizes constantly. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact he's developed his own alt-comics brand? No, I'm sure that's completely a coincidence. I mean, we could say that comics are filled with awful people, and that is indeed true. Obviously, this is unlike the living saints who work in Hollywood. But with the exception of insane stuff like Ed Piskor, he's usually criticizing Big Two and mainstream alternative comic creators as talentless, retarded, crackheads. (Yes, he's right about many of them. Good thing there aren't any retarded, talentless, crackheads in Hollywood, or I might have to accuse him of convenient and selective outrage.)

This appears to be a response to post-wall Nina (not so) Infinity saying YF kicked her out of his livestream link room because she apparently made a post about Rekieta? I'm not sure I care enough to find out why this dry hole got set to the curb...

I finally had to unsub from Ya Boi Zack. I was only watching him occasionally at this point, but I just got really annoyed with him spamming my feed with this autistic tirade because people didn't give a shit about watching Furiosa and the usual circles are dunking on it. These guys put Mr. Fantastic and Plastic Man to shame with the way they stretch to make absolutely anything Eric's fault. It's both impressive and incredibly sad that he's managed to mindbreak them this badly by simply putting out mid comics in the timeframe he said he would and maintaining some semblance of a professional decorum when he realized he couldn't do his old schtick and run the business at the same time.

Nick as a pawn in the EVS stuff is hilarious. Ethan sat on his ass grifting the culture war then when others did it, he shit on them (because he never really cared, he went with the algorithm and nerdrotic, quartering etc were competitors) and so he would work part time on his comic while getting it prepaid with millions and not finish it while also farming superchats. He went from busting his ass drawing for a living, to just vaguely attacking sjw stuff in movies and drawing just enough to string on fans. Then another guy comes along and uncancels creators while creating a whole system for creating and releasing books/accepting money (how much you want to bet if Eric didn't accept money from his own website Ethan would have gotten him kicked off Indigogo?) in less than a year working circles around EVS lazy fat ass. So all Ethan can do is be insanely jealous that a less talented guy just outworked him and cucked his fantasy.

Ironically, Nick being a cuck is a rally point (albeit a TERRIBLE ONE) for EVS to try and draw as many youtubers as possible to "his" side. He needs to build consensus that Eric's the fraud, not him and influencers are the game. However based on the current failure of his indigogo Ethan is obviously losing and chose a bad hill filled with orgies, coke and abused kids to die on. Its harder and harder for him to grift the right wing comic space supporting that, so he has pivoted to edge lord but the fans he attracted through Nick and Dick DON'T BUY COMICS! Also Ethan is obviously feeling the heat and ramping up production but he is FAR too slothful and lazy to really work, so its easy to do these unhinged trashcasts. Its funny, watching people like Nina and some of the slimy lawtubers go to Ethan.

As for sides, it appears geeks and gamers, YF, midnights edge, qtring most are just walking away from Ethan and its funny I see his people saying YF is all alone now. I was laughing at the spin. It's all spin with Ethan, now the kids were drugging the parents but *just kidding*. It is pathetic how all youtubers treat ethan like a dirty word and won't name him out of pathetic fear. He isn't that sharp, a normal person could DESTROY him in a debate with a handful of facts.

That’s not using grifter incorrectly though. That’s just your opinion of Zack’s intelligence somehow shielding him from being one. I disagree, I think he’s as dumb as EVS.

He’s a contrarian grifter, who needs to sell you on Hollywood being owed your money, even if they’re doing everything he says is bad/wrong x10 in comics.
If you have to lie, misrepresent, shadowban, use arguments you’ve previously debunked, etc. then maybe you’re not coming from a genuine place.

Take Wes from TC. That’s a guy that loves comics, and won’t bullshit you that the scene is pretty bad, but does what he can to show you the good too. He’s not making sure you know he’s wondering what Tee Franklin smells like, or updating you gleefully about Vita/Danny/Mags being damn near homeless. He’s not even pirating the books because he doesn’t want the industry to burn like Zack does (but you better not want that for Hollywood!).

Take Eric July who came to do business, and isn’t just selling late mediocre books in a format (crowdfunding) he should’ve moved on from by now. He’s building a brand, because he actually cares about comics and wants to do his part. He’s surpassed Zack and EVS by putting the business first and his ego last.

For the things they actually did wrong that affected the industry and other people? I would say that confirms he’s a grifter, because he must’ve never thought those things were wrong. Their effects haven’t changed.

If he apologizes to Heather Antos, after years of claiming she wanted to drive him to suicide, I would assume that Jawbreakers was about to be sold to one of the mainstream comics companies she works for and that his apology was a prerequisite for the deal.

He made a big production out of leaving Twitter, and he turned his community posts into his own personal Twitter. He complained about the way comics pros talked to their customers on Twitter, and now he's doing the same thing in his community posts. Time is a flat circle.

I'm not a customer of his. I really wasn't interested in his knock-off GI Joe comics. I started listening to his videos because I was interested in what was going on in the comics business. Basically, I watched him as a comics news channel. Some of his critiques of other people's comics I found to be quite obnoxious. (His video about how he would completely remake Spawn except for his costume, for example, I found pretty cringe. )

People who haven't been watching his channel for years might not know about hashtag "Move the Needle" or some of his videos that were similar in concept. These were where he was finding current day comics that he felt were worth praising and tried to give them the spotlight. He's never just been an "anti-woke" comic book guy.

When he would occasionally post about movies, TV, manga or anime I would just roll my eyes and click off his videos. That was long before his current temper tantrum. He and I just don't like the same kind of movies. When he was praising that Watchmen show that HBO did, he wasn't really talking about it in terms of woke or anti-woke, just that he liked it. Even his praise of it made it sound terrible.

This current temper tantrum is weird, and very much resembles stuff like Dan Slott's Twitter from a few years ago. Except instead of calling his potential customers Nazis after making them into strawmen, he's calling them gay after making them into strawmen. It's not really more appealing.

I don't think that's really true though. But I would bet Zack thinks so since he does not like to be pegged as a simple anti-SJW and imagines himself to be more discerning and nuanced. It doesn't seem to me like most people are concerned that he's some kind of traitor. He just had a dumb opinion that he was terrible at defending and refuses to let it go and won't shut up about it and goes on and on forever.

On his video today, his big genius premise is that entertainment studios couldn't possibly hate you on account of they don't even know your name as an individual guy somewhere. Common sense might suggest that when people say they hate you, it means that various people in the industry - showrunners, actors, writers, whatever - have a documented history of talking down about certain fan demographics and choosing to go after some phantom other audience that never shows up instead.

I wish I could give him the benefit of the doubt like maybe he's just playing dumb but he just never stops with crap like that. All of this obvious stuff that anyone in the world can figure out just sails over his head and he interprets it as some new way to package his retarded position.
