Both Sailor Moon and Bubblegum Crisis have a variety of "strong female characters" that either have a intense dislike for men or happen to be teenage/twenty something lesbians.

Also, this would be depressing if it happened to literally anybody else. Doing commissions for 10 bucks? He's officially hit a new low. Some time around Christmas last year, he offered them for 20, several years ago his price was at 40 bucks, but he never got many takers. Now he's going to offer them for a pittance and there won't be any takers even with that low price tag.

He has no one to blame but his own laziness. There was a big to-do a few years ago where someone commissioned Dobbo to draw Samus Aran, and not only did he take four months to draw it, but the art of Ridley taking up the background was traced from a Nintendo Power guide for Super Metroid.

Even better, when this was exposed, Dobby whined that being paid to draw art was some kind of trap.

How exactly is he going to deliver a "new" comic series when he has failed to deliver on the fabled reboot of AZP? Who does he think he is kidding? The only attempt he ever did related to the reboot was that cringe worthy spread showing the redesign of the AZP characters describing their sexual preference, because we all know one of the most important part of character development is knowing with which gender they want to rub uglies. Another bright idea of his that will amount to a whole bunch of nothing.

Here's some advice: Realize you're the one causing all this. And that you've been doing so for more than a decade. Between the CattyN shit, your wastes of data you call webcomics; your twitter drama; EVERYTHING you've done can be traced back to you and your ignorance.

This isn't a case of lack of self-awareness here, it's a lack of any awareness. Who decided to pose as a 16-yo inflation fetishist? Who decided to send Zelda Williams inappropriate pictures of Fem!Thor at equally inappropriate times? Who decided to get into an argument with Brianna Wu over Star Wars EU? Who decided to go to art school only to waste those efforts tracing things and bitch about "Oh woe is me" in rambling twitter posts?

Last I checked, it wasn't the trolls. It wasn't 4Chan, BadWebcomicsWiki, KiwiFarms or even ED. It wasn't Patreon. It wasn't even Wu. It was Dobson, plain and simple. He willingly made those choices and now that everyone's documented that, it'll forever haunt him unless he gets off the internet (ragequitting optional, but preferred), never come back and rethink his life.

But instead, he'll never do that. He'll just keep on posting hastily put together art, watch it get mocked by critics because he refuses to learn from his mistakes, and then complain about making said art because everyone either tried to tell him how to improve or rightfully mock it for the crap it is, especially since it's coming from an art school graduate in his 30s. Yeah, it's better than most of the other lolcows on the site. But "barely passable in comparison" still isn't a good thing when you want respect. And that's before even getting into the so called attempt to be "social justice".

not only that, but he also completely fucked up the request. The client asked Dobson to draw a picture of Samus and Ridley fighting, but instead Dobson drew Samus in a neutral pose while Ridley just seemed to be flying around in the background. I mean even if you disregarded the fact that it was commission, it's still stupid because Samus and Ridley are mortal enemies so if they're depicted together it would make sense for them to be trying to kill each other. It was a blatant example of why Dobson is such a shit artist, his art is just lazy and incredibly bland. Him whining that he can't draw because he isn't motivated or inspired is total bullshit because even when he's specifically told what to draw and how to draw it he still seemingly goes out of his way to make as bland and soulless as he possibly can.

I seem to recall him making some sort of PSA post for "Don't draw sexist poses" and the example picture he used for "this is okay" was completely bland, lifeless and devoid of any sort of characteristics that may be unique to the subject in question in how one does a task as simple as opening a drawer.

It was just a woman standing slightly to the side so you can see the drawer and the lady in full. She had probably the worst posture I'd ever seen in an example drawing.
