A 23-year-old woman who was mauled to death by a dog in southwest Ireland appears to have been the owner of an XL bully.

The woman, who was named locally as Nicole Morey, was killed on Tuesday evening at a house in Ballyneety, County Limerick, at around 11.40pm.

Her body has been taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem. Irish broadcaster RTE said the dog involved in the attack was understood to be an XL bully.

According to her social media, Ms Morey was the loving owner of what appears to be an XL bully.

In one video on TikTok, she is seen dancing with a dog in a kitchen.

The video is covered by a male voice saying: "This is my son and I don't give a f*** if you think he looks aggressive and I don't give a f***if you don't like the look of him and I surely don't give a f*** whether you think the breed should be banned."

Another chilling video appearing to show her as the owner of several dogs is captioned: "But if one of us dies - I hope I die first." The video ends with a caption reading: "Love my family."

In another post, she describes herself as a "dogmom" and is seen handing treats to two dogs.

Ms Morey was treated by paramedics but died at the scene on Tuesday, Garda (Irish police) said. One dog was put down while three others were seized.

There are several restricted breeds in Ireland, including German shepherds, rottweilers and various bull terriers, as well as some crosses.

Restricted dogs must be kept collared with their owner's information on a tag, muzzled in public and on a short, strong lead with someone over the age of 16 who is able to control them.

That many of these dogs (or any dogs really) in one spot is just asking for trouble. All that needs to happen is for a fight to break out between two of the dogs, she comes in to break it up and one of the dogs turns on her instead. With other breeds you can get them to snap out of it but with a dog that was bred to fight and kill you cannot rely on those insticts not to take over and go too far. And once they start they finish the job like they were bred to do.

That looked like it was a problem in the videos. Bullies are bad with other dogs. They can get along with the opposite sex alright but if you have two male bullies or two female bullies, as soon as they reach adulthood they'll start fighting with eachother. I would bet money it started with a dog fight she tried to break up. A lot of people are really fucking stupid and immediately try to stick their hand in the dog's mouth when they latch on to another dog or will put themselves between the two dogs to try and break them up.

You should take a look at cases like the Bennard Family, Dax Borchardt, or Bethany Lynn Stephens. In all three cases the dogs belonged to successful white families who loved and cherished them and they still went on to maul and kill, with the first two incidents involving literal babies. Bethany Lynn Stephens was a huge pitnutter; she took them on a walk one day and she was found dead in a ditch with the monsters snacking on her rib cage.

What I took issue with is that you partially attributed this woman's mauling to her not walking her dogs (which we still don't know for sure). Whether or not a pitbull is perfectly raised is besides the point; dogs who have been raised from puppyhood by loving and responsible owners have still gone on to maul because that's their primary purpose and function as dogs. The most important factor in every shitbull mauling is the breed. Other dogs do attack and kill, but nowhere in the same frequency and severity as pitbulls.
