I'd say it's more about these egos finally imploding after years of piling on unfulfilled projects, burnt bridges, co-dependency, smashed & slammed frogline shit testing and general faggotry. CG is one big hyper-extended Hapsburg Lip. Eric July just forgot to grovel as when he nonchalantly made and sold comic book(s) like it wasn't a masters thesis.
The only thing I ask is that if or when July does go to pasture he does it well after these thuperthtars have a chance to fully process. Having Rekieta, Masterson and Van Sciver entering into new lows this year, the Sektur containment unit is close to total meltdown levels. Only one national headline per quarter, please!

You know evs will laugh hardest at these mugshots and then egg him on to do more stuff. He is also kinda like the stalker shooter mcgavin uses in happy gilmore that wants to hang out with him and he blows him off. I can see this guy turning on evs one day too.

No idea if true, but saw posted that Riley apparently tried to get the event shut down because of too many people inside the building. Fire guy showed up, looked inside, and left.

There are other people who frequent this thread who will know waaayyyy more than I do, but Zack is the OG of ComicsGate. He was pretty much the first(?) guy to start publicly calling out the invasion of SJWs and wokeness in comics. He would review current day comics on YouTube and savage them for how they were retarded garbage. He created his own indie comics, and he inspired EVS to defect from mainstream comics to creating indie comics all of which led to the birth of the movement that came to be known as ComicsGate. (He inspired a lot of other disaffected comics fans to rally against wokeness in comics, too.)
The entire woke mainstream establishment retaliated against Zack, tried to doxx and ruin him. At some point, it got too much for Zack and he started to lay low and stop being as much of an aggressive voice of opposition. He ultimately disavowed contact with EVS and the CG movement. His comic output got late, and he started doing weird, experimental comics instead of his more mainstream comics his original fans were interested in. Now he just wants everybody to get along, and has adopted a kind of anti-anti SJW stance. My opinion is that he's burnt out and he lost the will to fight on.

Zack was one the original anti SJW comic readers that spawned CG. He bought EVS into the movement after he got fired from DC. Zach wanted to start publishing his own comics on his terms after Mark Waid messed up his deal to publish Jawbreakers with Antarctic Press but, with very mixed results. He can’t write for shit and the art quality of his books can vary wildy. Not only that, he was always super late with delivering on his campaigns. So basically, he fit right in with CG. But he was reluctant to admit being a part of the group and had to be browbeated by EVS into saying he was CG. After he saw the shitpile CG was becoming, he decided to distance himself from the movement. Now he is attacking both sides of the fence and looking like an absolute retard while doing it.
i was more confused on what particular thing ej had done or was perceived to have done to trigger evs's cult leader narcissism in particular and i guess he had made the mistake of disagreeing on other smaller issues and for the great crime of being better at making and releasing comics from the replies. so he has sargon's capos and ethan ralphs womanly bullshit of if you offend him or make him jealous even accidentally its over for you in his mind.
the demonization of editors and for people part of the creative process that real in tarded artists was a massive mistake. you can see where alot of the same issues with modern media was present in older media as well its just the suits knew how to actually make it appeal to normal people. having diversity characters be small exotic fun little inclusions with small implicit political messages that was effective and profitable rather than letting them say kill all whites or fuck the niggers while they lounge around and do nothing.

EJ announced he was entering the CG indie scene. EVS and Malin tried to big time EJ, since they were former industry professionals with years of experience making comics and the reigning "ComicsGate Kings." They expected EJ to pay his dues by listening to everything they had to say. Basically, EVS expected EJ to bow before him as the Master. EJ decided to do things his own way instead of being an obedient suck-up to EVS. That was the trigger. Early on, EJ refused to be EVS' bitch as pretty much everyone else in the movement is.
If EJ had just fucked up like many of the other CG creators who have turned on EVS over the years, EVS wouldn't have cared. But EJ is a businessman instead of just another delusional comics creator. He's more competent than most indie artists. So, worse than defying EVS' control, he dared to succeed and instead of self-destructing or coming crawling back to EVS on his knees.
