George Miller fell for the same trap that all these other idiots went for. Strong female lead characters to surpass and replace the male title characters in their own franchises. Dial of Destiny as well, and at this point asking Harrison Ford to be the lead in another action movie just seems cruel. I never got a
Dredd 2 either, and instead of throwing a temper tantrum about it on line, I was just happy I got to watch
Dredd. (And there are lots of movies I've liked that underperformed at the box office, that's how the box office works.) When
Son of the Mask came out in 2005, did he throw a fit that that underperformed too? That should just be his new thing, yelling at people when sequels to popular or cult movies fail, "Do better Americans! Do better!"
Is he mad theaters are going out of business? I can't tell. Maybe be angrier about the naked shorts on the theater chains than the fact that 50 year old men are grumbling about modern movies.
