Has she called it satanic explicitly? Does it fit the description of any known satanic ritual, or just the caricature of a tired 80s moral panic? I've seen the reddit post, and read nothing more than pretentous art student talk. Nonsensical ambiguity is literally how they answer every question about their work. It doesn't make sense and it's never supposed to make any sense. Believe me, I've sat down and done my due diligence on this one. It's another visceral reaction based on something that literally does not happen.

There's thousands of emails that were leaked that could potentially reveal a major donation scandal, and people are zeroing in on this one thing like it's 35 years ago and preschools are murdering your children. This is screaming homeless man stuff. When there's a lid being blown off a potential major corruption scandal, most people could give less than a rat's ass that John Podesta's brother kind of sort of knows a mentally unstable chick who paints her walls with blood. It's not even the thing to be zeroing in on here.

On the note of occult things, I once heard a theory that people engaged in things like abusing people for their own pleasure will use the trappings and premise of a "satanic" ritual so that if the victim ever escapes and is able to tell anybody no one will believe them. Because would you believe the allegations against, say, Bill Cosby, had the victims story included shit like being tied up on an altar and having symbols drawn on their body? It'd sound too insane to be true. Such use of fake rituals has never been substantiated, but I wouldn't rule it out considering we're talking about an island of child slaves and a pedo-plane.

Many /pol/acks are themselves atheists and are well aware of what "real" satanists are (Also known as non-theistic satanism). Satanism is used as a sort of short-hand for the darker "evil" side of paganism and the occult.

What this really is is honestly not too important. I think people are zeroing in on it for two reasons -

1, a woman holding a butchered goats head up and carving pentagrams into her tummy is a hell of a lot more understandable than some complicated scheme to steal votes or congressional districts disguised as pizza or whatever the fuck is going on. And when I says that I don't mean they are going for the eye-catching shit for optics - I'm sure some people are, but most people looking into this don't give a shit about anything other than drama, and Satan has always had a flair for the dramatic.

2, we all might know that this is just hardcore edgelording talking about mythical bullshit, that as you say 'Nothing they believe in is even real.' But for a depressingly huge number of people in the United States, it absolutely is real, and it's a million times more important than yet another Washington corruption scandal - it's about your immortal soul! And a lot of those people weren't going to vote for Trump, so if you want to sink Hillary, turning them or keeping them from voting for her is critical.

I googled her name, looked through a couple pages and galleries, and I found nothing on her or any kind of controversy. In fact, when you google "Katy Grannan Controversy", the first results have the "Controversy" striked through - and I assume making illegal images of naked teenagers would generate at keast some kind of controversy.
I looked up some of her work, and while it's true that she does make photos of naked people (though that seems to be the minority of images), I found no indication that she's actually photographing naked teenagers whatsoever. There's certainly no comment on such things in her biography on Wikipedia or several art-related websites. That is not to say that there might not be some images of questionable content (after all, this was just a quick research I did), but that means if such images even exist, they sure are not a significant part of her work - and again: there is no clear indication that Podesta owns such a photo assuming it even exists in the first place. So the whole "known for taking pictures of naked teenagers" is a complete fabrication to begin with.

When you look up "Katy Grannan naked teenagers" or "Katy Grannan naked children" all you get is links about this Podesta Kiddy Porn bullshit on places like fucking Infowars. :story:
