Bit busy so I haven't watched it but it looks like the usual "capitalism bad" episode.

Yeah, it truly is a wonder why a lazy, painkiller-addicted, coombrained, fat fuck never did actively anything of note with his life.I'm honestly surprised Jim hasn't decided to put his money where his mouth is and start a studio, reject all investor money, self fund it entirely, pay the developers all above market rates, and only make woke games with perfectly reasonable pricing structures. After all, if its so easy, you'd think it'd be a slam dunk right. He's certainly got the ego to think he could pull it off.
The early podquisition, maybe. Everything since has been inertia, new podcasts have been troonery and bullshit, but he can probably take credit for podquisition. And that was, jesus, almost ten years ago now. Hell of a length of time to just be coasting on your past success. When was the last time Jimbo took the initiative on anything constructive?
I would enjoy a video of him bitterly celebrating his company going bankrupt because all the evil transphobes randomly decided not to support him.I'm honestly surprised Jim hasn't decided to put his money where his mouth is and start a studio, reject all investor money, self fund it entirely, pay the developers all above market rates, and only make woke games with perfectly reasonable pricing structures. That might be fun, but no, I want to see Jim try to mental gymnastics making the exact same decisions the rest of the industry has to make. I want to see his first game be a middling success, just making back enough to cover its costs, but not enough for the next project, after he's hired on a whole studio and given them a career path and future. I want to see Jim on the other side of an investor pitch meeting for a game project, having to decide between taking a few million dollars of publisher money or not. This money is attached to an expectation of a reasonable financial return within a fixed time period, and some light influence in the games creation for marketing purposes - Think asking for a cute mascot design or something a bit vibrant they can show off. Otherwise, rejecting the deal means Jim has to lay off two dozen people he knows and cares about to some degree, fully aware that they have families, mortgages, and lives they want to live, and they just want to make games.I would enjoy a video of him bitterly celebrating his company going bankrupt because all the evil transphobes randomly decided not to support him.
Maybe the worst youtuber named jim would'n be 2 weeks late on topics he wants to discuss, had he wasted only a single weekly release to bitch and moan about Elden Ring being hard, instead of 3, or better yet, stop bitching and moaning in general...Bit busy so I haven't watched it but it looks like the usual "capitalism bad" episode.
Mer-man? from he-man?What is that Fish Monster guy, that Jim always portays himself as in all his videos?
Is that a ThunderCats villain?
Wow, he's pretty entertaining. He mixed up former and latter. but i can look past that. I love the tone of this vid, i also agree with the undercut bit lol. It's sad the Arlo of all people made a better Jimquisition. First Yong "I Read It So You Don't Have To" Yea, now Arlo the Muppet. All we need now is for Yahtzee to have a successful wrestling-related endeavor.
I'd say BigfryTV and SidAlpha are other good examples of providing industry criticism, (they do focus more on smaller projects and cleaning up shovelware producers) but don't really have as much of a comedic side to them compared to early Jim.It's sad the Arlo of all people made a better Jimquisition. With the way he's describing it you'd think he was talking about back in the 2000s when you had Halo and CoD killers, or the boom of survival crafting games when early access happened. There have been a few that have come and gone but its still a fairly niche genre with not much competition. This was all mentioned back when he first bitched about the game in a JQ but he really is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill here. It’s another one.
I haven't had time to do the Puppet Masters review review (only a month late, but that's just because I'm emulating Jim), but because this one is also a tie-in to the same JQ I might try to sit down and rip into both of these at once. Before a comprehensive breakdown of his Killer Klowns review is posted I'd just like to snipe in and complain about one thing, the first thing from the review

Sadly, it didn't work for Ehrgeiz...Would Final Fantasy 7 characters have made this game a household name, or would it have been seen as desperate?
Probably when he created the 'copyright deadlock' which just meant having his editor put two songs from different copyrighted sources in a video so no one could collect the money (pretty sure YouTube later easily overcame this by just splitting revenue). When was the last time Jimbo took the initiative on anything constructive?
Arlo is great, although I feel a bit weird watching a puppet as a grown man. Since I like to use Jim's thread to give a spotlight to creators actually doing his job I'll take this time to plug Luke Stephens and KnowledgeHusk.Wow, he's pretty entertaining.
