Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Some zoomers are interested on how old technology worked, not unlike how during the early 2010s there were creppypastas about cursed videogame cartridges. This is due in part to fear coming from the unknown, if you don't know how Windows XP works, you can be convinced about it doing terrible and scary things.

It's actually very akin to an old man telling you scary stories abput weird things that happened when he was young, but over the internet
Thing is, the horror subgenre of cursed old shit works because you can reasonably put yourself in a position where you interact with the hardware. But with creepy software even that's impossible.

Also isn't Unalive strictly about suicide?

For some reason that made me think of this ancient classic

Welcome back to Night Mind friends, boy do we have a refreshing tale for you today, so settle in and don't worry about where you'll need to place your cup, today's series has got that covered...

if anything you’d think sponsors would rather you do it at the start, since that ensures the viewer is guaranteed to see it
Yes, but I think some creators fear that if they start the video with a sponsor, people will click away immediately - because you get two ads from YT before the video even starts anyway, and then the sponsor. That could be four to six minutes of ads total if the YT ads are long, and the video hasn't even really started yet. At the half-way point viewers are theoretically more invested.

But I agree that it's obnoxious when they try to link the sponsor to the video with cringy quips. Just say 'And now for a word from the sponsor' and make a clean break for people to skip through.

So it's either bait for zoomers larping as millenials, or millenials who are way too fucking old to be scared by this shit.
It is 100% for Zoomers larping as Millenials - it is understated just how fucking many of those there are. I like to fuck around on websites that look like other now defunct websites - just lurking on sites like Vidlii, Neocities, Spacehey, etc. I have seen so fucking many pages covered in the most stereotypical "I'm a teenager online in 2007" bullshit - then you see where they've listed their age as "13", not to mention a whole slue of links to tiktok, twitter, and other brainrot filled shitholes on their profiles. The main audience and driving force behind all media online, in this vein, at this point in time are people who weren't even cognizant of their own existence until 2015 at the earliest, and they look back on things like Slenderman, The Rake, Sonic.EXE, etc. the same way people born in the year 2000 looked back on slasher icons like Freddy and Jason. These are strange days we're living in.

Bah, of course. I’m an idiot for not thinking of that, I’ve had adblocker for so long I pretty much forgot ads even existed.

I mean at this point I guess most people just want extra money because the governments of most Western countries are pieces of shit to the people who live there and the job market also is. As long as it isn’t a channel shitting on other people as their main source of content, people should be allowed to make money. If you don’t have a degree and come from a non optimal place or family it’s kind of useful to be able to pay bills even if only a temporary secondary income source.

I always liked youtube premium. It was cool when you could just use the youtube app back in 2008 to listen to youtube with the screen turned off though.

Yeah, I will always dislike YT and corpos more than creators who shill too hard or use dumb euphemisms like essay. If YT wasn't such a cancerous badly-run monopoly at least some creators would do things differently. There are entire tv-channels playing crime porn 24/7, that run big corpo ads every 15 minutes, but the same corpo won't run ads on a YT channel describing the exact same thing.
I know everyone is sick of HelloFresh and GlassesUSA promos, but I have to give it to them, they're at least willing to sponsor my horror and True Crime channels.

On topic: new Lazy video.

I just don’t understand why so many of them insist on doing that retarded mid video ad break. “…And the stalker was never caught after this horrifically graphic murder. In this day and age, protecting your privacy from creepy stalkers is crucial. Thanks to today’s sponsor NordVPN—“ holy shit, kill yourself.

Is it really that fucking difficult to do a 30 second ad read at the start of the video? People will skip ad reads regardless of where they’re placed in the video, if anything you’d think sponsors would rather you do it at the start, since that ensures the viewer is guaranteed to see it. Who’s to say someone won’t close the video before the middle ad read? Is there some stupid algo reason I’m not aware of?
It's often a specific request/requirement of the contract with the sponsor on where to put the add and how long it needs to be.

I find it annoying as well, but if the creator wants to get paid they have to roll over.

I literally could not care less if a YouTuber wants to shill sponsors, I agree that it’s not unreasonable to want your work and time to produce money.

SponsorBlock really is the best invention of the modern era.

Sometimes it is also used as a stand-in for murder, altough not as common because there's more leniency and other euphemisms for it
I specifically remember a clip of up-and-coming cow Annacondasin saying she wanted to kill an animal, before quickly self-ccorrecting to "unalive"... And continuing to say she wanted to sexually abused said unalive animal. The contrast was hilarious.

I know I'm late, but a few weeks ago Dire Trip released another special TNB edition video, @Ron Jeremy Stan Account:

Just the title alone and you can tell it's comprised of nignogs chimping out, and the footage and the peoples' names confirm it. It's funny because Dire Trip is unintentionally redpilling normies about relaxing.

Lame example, this one is far better:
Edit: Why can half of the videos be viewed directly from here and the other half can't? The thumbnail is a black woman with the eyes of a deranged killer and a Majin-style "M" on her forehead, as well as a pistol behind her

Remind me how the media quickly ended stog Asian hate hoax for accidentally highlighting black crimes. Hell anti-Palestine riots at colleges accidentally red pilled more normalfags than /pol/. It showed police could've easily stopped BLM summer of rioting and looting.
Have you seen Cyraxx?
I don’t think the mutant cannibals in fallout look as monstrous as Cyraxx. Dude a Hills have eyes mutant.
