Out last Friday around 2:00 am. Guy asks me why the nearby bus hasn’t arrived. I tell him the bus lines stop running around 1:30 am and will resume service around 5:00 am.
Guy stares at me, literally slack jawed and finally says “bro, I don’t get what you’re saying here.”
I don’t know how much more clear it could have been. This retard isn’t an isolated example either. If you don’t illustrate your point through Dr. Seuss drawings and See Spot Run syntax you’ll fry the brain of the average ‘murican anymore.

I'm dealing with a guy at work. Me: "Ok, to get this software installed we need X and Y and Z." Him: "Ok, I'll get working on that, it may be a few days.". 30 seconds later Him: "So, can we have a demo of the software tomorrow?"
It's not an isolated incident either, he's just really bad at cause and effect.

I hate that "narc" is now just shorthand for narcissist. Im used to seeing narc used as slang for people who rat you out to the cops. So when I see narc used on the internet now, particularly here, I default to "wait, this person is an informant?" and have to remind myself "oh yeah, people just call everyone they don't like a narcissist now".
Also I don't like how people use "ETA" for their edits. That has always been an acronym for "estimated time of arrival". But people use it as "edited to add" which is retarded.

I figured it out only because no other combination of words made sense, and because it only showed up when people obviously edited their shit to add something to their post. Why they can't just say "edit" is beyond me. I only noticed the "narc" one here at first, then started seeing it everywhere. "ETA" is something I ONLY see used on the farms. Idk why. Neither make sense beyond people being too lazy to just type out "edit" and too young to remember what "Narc" used to be slang for.
