While we all talk about Nick's stubbornness in streaming and being very vocal online until all this is behind him is a stupid move, the absolute WORST move on Nick's part is to fight these charges in court. Drug possession charges are extremely difficult fight. Cops literally found coke, in a safe, in the master bedroom, that Nick admitted (because he didn't use his 5th amendment rights) that he sleeps in that room. Any reasonable person in a jury would find it hard to believe that Nick, who looks like an addict, has documented history online of addiction, video evidence of powder on his nose while acting like an addict, living in a messy home (like addicts do) and neglecting kids (like addicts do), had no idea there was coke in HIS room in HIS safe. There will also be footage of the cops finding the coke to squash any defense that it was planted. It's really hard to create reasonable doubt in this situation. Unless he got Aaron, Kayla, and April; all three of them, to lie that there was no way Nick could know there was coke in his safe in his room, and that is doubtful that would ever happen.

His only defense is the legality of the search warrant itself, which if he takes that angle, there is a 99% chance he will lose that fight. Beyond that, there is no defense he can legitimately put up to fight these charges. If he fights these charges he will 100% get jail time.

Nick said that the evangelical church was prudish and backward while Kayla claimed that God would understand their Love. Aaron was unconvinced.

The passage is Galatians 5:13-26, which Aaron reads, with acknowledgement that the pastor knew.

In what was the most cringy part of the whole stream, Aaron related how Nick gathered the other three into the bathroom (the dog was present also) in the middle of the day to read them letters about what "characters" he thought they were. Aaron was the only one not on coke (he does his partying in the evening).

Aaron was "the Pugilist". April was "the Valkyrie", and Nick was self-described as "Chaos". Aaron couldn't recall what Kayla was.

I've covered this a couple of times but Minnesota is very reluctant to disbar people, and almost all of the few they have done of the last few years have been directly related to their law practice, and predominantly from fucking with client funds which is the biggest no-no for lawyers. Very true. Minnesota is also historically the state with the lowest minimum Bar score requirements for licensure. A lot of folks who fail their states bar requirements end up licensed in Minnesota. They are pretty lax overall. Lawyers with addiction issues are very common and it’s generally easy to “bounce back” in the eyes of peers.
