That is at least 51 on a scale of 1 to 100 likelihood. "Probable cause" is even lower. I think there is debate about how low - some say 1/100, some 10/100, 30/100. The reality is that it's probably always a judgment call.

I'm not a lawyer, just passing on the opinion of other lawyers, some of which have experience in criminal law.

Nick also got a taste of it with the PerceptionChek DMs, which had a lot of the same phrasing, such as "I know you won't believe me, but..." and backhanded attempts at being "nice". Then there's lying about matters of fact, which Nick already did with PerceptionChek and even Null (regarding Nick's thread and Drexel). Being unable to completely control a given narrative is just that painful to Nick.

Consequently the exchange didn't hold as much new information as I was hoping. A lot of it is the same techniques the thread has already become familiar with with Nick desperately trying not to confess to anything and divert attention.

Nick's "I know you care about April. Aaron is hurting April, not me. Geno is hurting April, not me. I'm the only one helping April. The best way to help me April is by not talking about what happened in any way." against Keanu's "Don't care, where's my friend April? Why should I trust you? Why are you speaking for her?" meant that neither side was really engaging with each other because they both wanted very different things out of the conversation.
