Jaiden made a video where she talked about being diagnosed with ADHD recently, and her "symptoms" are just the lack of discipline every college kid who gets their first taste of freedom has plus the burnout you get when you turn your hobby into your job. Telling screen-addicted kids that their lack of discipline and focus problems can be solved with an ADHD diagnosis is dangerous because it promotes the idea that all your problems can be solved with the right silver bullet and it shills the psych industry and psych drugs. It's a stupid Reddit attitude born from brainless Redditors telling people to seek therapy for their personal problems rather than give helpful advice because it gets quick updoots, and now people are taking it seriously. As it stands, 80% of therapy is useless -- it's either an attempt to erase diversity or, in the case of Jaiden, a vanity project for the rich and privileged. Psychotherapy is typically only useful for severe trauma (not the "trauma of working 9-5 in muh capitalist hellscape" -- actual trauma experienced by victims of sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and veterans) and severe yet curable mental illness (like developmental delays); it's a waste of time and money otherwise and you'd be better off taking up astrology or religion and jailing the actual terrible people therapy can't cure.
