The draft is a terrible idea.

Let's look at a few things. Now, this is going to be boring, so if you don't care, scroll down like the brainless monkey or Eurotard you are and look for some more sparkling pictures.

First of all: The draft is fucking stupid. Nothing is worse for your war fighting machine than people who don't want to be there. There's too many points of failure nowadays. If you get drafted and half-ass or just fuck off your work, what are they going to do? Bend your dog tags and send you to a war zone? No. Malicious compliance and half-assing it till you make your year and go back is how it is.

Modern military is 6 months to a year in theater. That's it. Once your back stateside, they know you might run off. So they spend 6 months to a year training you, then send you off, where you serve for the same amount of time, then come home. You aren't staying in. Except to fill a uniform, you're fucking worthless. You won't be training anyone, you won't reenlist, you won't stay in.

Even infantry is more complex than it was during The Nam. Sure, it's retardation, alcoholism, and faggotry all the way down still, but it's high tech retardation, alcoholism, and faggotry. Failing infantry training, which is where they used to dump the retards, is easier than ever.

Which brings me to:

At MEPS, when they come walking down the line asking if anyone wants to go Airborne, jump up and wave your hand, grinning like an idiot. Volunteer for everything. Take a complicated MOS, preferably one that trains for 6 months to a year. Yes, they have MOSs that last a year for AIT. The complicated the better.

At reception, talk about how you're loving this. How it's great. Do good on stuff. Volunteer. Be a suckup brown nosing cheese eater.

Basic, do your best.

But...

The more complex tasks, make sure you fail the first time (or barely make it) and barely squeak by the second. Be excited you made it. Talk about how you can't wait to go Permanent Party and help wax the fucking enemy, and how this is so fucking great. (This shit will go into the notes) Bonus points if you screw up in the last two weeks and just can't seem to manage it, meaning they recycle you. That means you get held in holding for 1-5 weeks while they wait for another Basic Training class to open up.

A real pro can do this at least twice.

If you are a real pro, there's a chance. This is fun.

When you go to the gas chamber, fake an asthma attack. For a couple of days complain about your chest. Even if they send you to sick call, complain about it. Make sure you say often and loudly that this better not mess up your chances to go to Airborne. (Don't say you're going to Ranger or SF, that's amateur shit) Develop a cough that takes about a week to clear up. Go to sick call complaining bout your chest. After a week, drop it, except to mention a couple times "Boy, I'm glad that cold didn't mess up my chances to go to Airborne!!!"

Now you go to AIT.

Here it is.

First of all, keep up the excitement. You're fucking THRILLED to be here. This is it, you're so close you can taste it. Don't forget to remind everyone you're going Airborne. As much as possible. Even when it doesn't pertain to the situation. Pretend you're a vegan at a party about it. If your instructor has Airborne wings, constantly bug him for tips and advice.

But, start slipping in the tests. You'll be tested constantly.

Start dropping time on the runs .Complain your chest burns.

On the written exams, start struggling with the more advanced stuff.

At the 3/4 mark, you should be having to retake at least every other test. Ask for tutoring. Ask for help.

You might get recycled.

Now, you do this right, you could be easily 18-24 months in training.

But your cough is getting worse. Your chest hurts more. Fall out of runs, coughing.

But tell them "I'm OK, I'm OK." Resist sick call recommendations.

Keep 'fighting' your tests.

Then start failing. Start having problems with PT. Ask the instructors for help. Whine about how you're going to be Airborne. Whine about how this can't be happening. Whine about how you've spent too much time.

You WILL get the "I'm sorry, son, it just isn't working..."

There's a 50/50 chance you'll get medical boarded because of your cough. Keep up the cough. That'll keep you in the broke dick barracks 3-6 months while they see if you'll heal up.

If you do, you'll go back for a recycle.

Once the heavy exercise hits, the cough comes back.

You do this right, you'll be Honorably Discharged, have collected a paycheck for 18-36 months, and nobody can white feather you.

Bonus points if you get a job at the VA afterwards.

EDIT: I forgot an important part.

IF your lottery number comes up to put you at risk, RUN RIGHT DOWN THE RECRUITER. Army and Airforce ONLY. Navy will have mouth breathing retards scraping paint. You can't escape. And the Marines? Well...

Army for the sheer numbers. There will be plenty of CONUS and safe jobs, so even if it doesn't work, you'll be able wing a stateside unit and stay there. Which means volunteering for everything and becoming 'mission essential' for rear detachment duties. Air Force for safety and bennies, but you might find yourself lent out to the Army or the Navy or... worse... the Marines.

That way you choose your job. You can even defer Basic, meaning you can put it off for a year or so. Maybe the war will be over? Maybe the draft will be over. You might even be able to score some rank so you don't go in E1.

Approach it smart.

Don't think Uncle Sam and the recruiters and the MEPS people are stupid. They've been at this a long time.

Fight smarter, not harder.

To be honest, this is sort of screwing with my head right now. Someone I know and respect said something to the effect that he's all in favor of a draft and thinks it would be a good idea. It would force everyone to be on the same page, on the same team, working towards a common goal, and it would force the spoiled rich kids to toughen up and face consequences. This is all just so fractally wrong I don't even know what to do with it.

These people are clearly refusing to fight in a war that *our country is going to start*. They are having that choice taken from them. They are going to be treated as disposable livestock, slaughtered for the benefit of people who hate and despise them.
