I wonder if J.K. Rowling can tweet anything at all, these days, without a load of looney troons in the comments, calling her an evil bigot TERF cunt or whatever, even about things completely unrelated to transgenderism. It's like her just existing is a source of impotent moid rage for them.

Nah, some of them surely were good; as a general genre they were a bit before my time though and there was, of course loads of other stuff absolutely churned out, comics I'm thinking fo especially, that you'd come across in a dated old annual really bored with nothing else to read.
And because of their success, I'm sure some of the stuff that had been good at one point got beaten into the ground so any random Billy Bunter comic might hugely vary in quality.
Not my cup of tea in general but they had their place very much.
(in fact, I've just read of Hamilton that he is in the Guinness book of records as the most prolific author, writing about a hundred million words. Some are sure to be good, some are sure to be not, lol, man I didn't realsie it was literally still just him)
I'd still say Harry Potter is way more multi dimensional than them, and the idea it counts as a copy or a rip off of the worst witch as idiotic I think is inarguable unless you're a twitter seethepot throwing anything to see if it sticks at JKR.
Honestly for people who endlessly cling to the phrase "bad faith" when shutting down any philosophical quibbles about trans shit-they constantly exist in bad faith and tell so many outright lies, they surely must be aware of it. If Rowling were to see this she would likely a) laugh her ass off, because it would clearly be for the sake of trying to insult her and nothing else, and definitely b) not see it as something that means she's not actually a woman, because being a woman (or a man) is not something that is dependent on whether other people regard you as such, but on biological reality.
Even in cases where a "cis" person is genuinely mistaken for the opposite sex, the majority of people would just treat it as precisely that, instead of throwing a tantrum and see it as a sign that they are genuinely not-female or not-male.
What does it say about the realness of the true and honest gender identity of trans people, if they think that calling Rowling a man is enough to invalidate her being female? Meanwhile, Rose the girl dick supremacist transbian is still going to need to have his prostate checked when (or rather, if) he hits 50 no matter how many times he has his "womanhood" affirmed.

It’s the same logic as “bullies are just taking out their insecurities on you.”
Maybe some bullies were so because they were victims and physical abuse at home but the majority are just kids doing the usual securing place in pecking order of school and peer group.
That I think is a huge part of the problem with a lot of the mentality of today, that any form of “bullying” is considered intolerable and wrong.
This of course extends to shaming, disagreeing and not indulging them in their fantasies and beliefs.
