Whether or not the SBI retards tried to extort $7 million from Wukong's dev is kind of irrelevant. The fact that IGN (who is quickly becoming the new Kotaku) attempted to smear the dev by deliberately mistranslating things said by their employees is. It makes the entire thing seem kind of sus in retrospect. SBI's own president has directly admitted to using Mafia style strong arm tactics. We have video evidence of this, and people need to be more vigilant in spreading this around. I think this might be a main reason why no one's listening to them anymore except for the few brainrotted Western devs who buy into this bullshit. They can easily be ignored. IGN's grasping at straws and desperately flailing about and trying to defend the indefensible. They're getting more and more desperate.

Yes, you're right, I shouldn't have used the word Chad. From an Asian girl's perspective, White is her only requirement. As long as he's White and meets minimum standards (eg. not too fat or ugly), she'll be happy with him. Average looking non-Chad White Youtuber guys with Asian girlfriends that come immediately to mind include Karl Jobst, Linus Tech Tips, and the Max guy from the Fighting Game Community (FGC).

The last PC Gaming show was a shitshow. Every other game was some DEI slop, the YT chat was spamming the poo emoticon (while the Twitch chat was spamming gay emoticons), and the host looked like he's aged 20 years in about 3.
The games also were all the same fucking genre, either the usual FPS slop, the "OMG SO QUIRKY" indie game with faggot characters, and the usual 5th Gen-inspired graphics horror shit (a unity filter slapped on some poorly modelled shit, wow).
There were no racing games, no decent 3D platformers that don't neglect the combat/platforming balance (since all of the new ones seem to be lacking either one, sometimes both).

Look at the new Test Drive Unlimited, the demo is showing that the game is gonna be a fucking joke, plus it's an always online live-service fraud. You can still play the original TDU and TDU2, but that won't necessarily be true for TDU:SC. Also the quality is abysmal, ironic since everyone is laser focused on graphics (rather than Art Direction) to the point that they no longer optimize anything, and it's been a game of diminishing returns. Exponential more power for just some better looking shadows and lighting effects that the average consumer is gonna turn off immediately, «that would be 300GBs, thank you very much». God forbid you make a game that looks like Dirt 3, which still looks decent to this day.

It's not just racing games that are disappearing either, 2D Beat Em Ups have completely flat-lined, and Shoot Em Ups are following along.
When was the last good 2D Fight 'em up like Streets of Rage Remake? SoR4 is, like only good if you're a streamer.

while for Shoot em ups, look at R-Type Final 2. 10 years in development and it looks like a fucking tech demo. The lighting is all over the place, you can't really tell what's background and what's solid without shooting every second or memorizing it. It's 40$ plus 114$ in DLCs.

There is sometimes that hint of genius someone has, like that Contra Remake on itch.io or new Kao The Kangaroo game, but it's almost instantly drawn in the sea of mediocrity that has been rising lately. Also, there's not many hardware limits anymore, but that doesn't necessarily means that you are barred from doing something in the quality of a PlayStation 2 game (such as Rayman 3, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper or Jak & Daxter).

Really, gaming's last peak was around the 7th gen, from there it's been all downhill.

I’m just an indie game player at this point. They’re generally designed with shorter gameplay loops which is what I grew up with and have affinity for. The smalls teams making them usually can’t hire DEI bullshit and if they did you can smell it a mile away and ignore.

Conscript is utterly brilliant. A retro survival horror game about a French soldier in WW1. I think it has been made by one Aussie.
