African-American Appreciation Thread - Highlighting contributions from our most productive citizens

In New Orleans, the Jewish community was deeply involved in running the slave economy. One of the Jewish synagogues uptown is known colloquially as "The temple that slavery built". It's a really nice one, too. Slavery was the foundation of many a New Orleans jewish family fortune.

They started in the slave trade and when they couldn't do that any more, they branched out into furniture stores.

I hate that every normal activity which becomes a social media trend has to center black people doing the most performative/theatrical shit. The "booktok" idiocy was bad enough (my local bookshop literally has a huge "BOOKTOK" section), but now we have shit like this:



There is no such thing as a normal discussion group for popular books anymore, because it's infested with retarded babbling "OOOH MISS MAMA, U DONE SNATCHED MY WIG".

Or this guy, who keeps everybody updated on what he has read with expectedly stupid comments. He also includes pics of himself looking deep in thought (or so he thinks, he actually just looks confused) in every single fucking post.



He is very distressed in this post because the author won't tell him what to think and he has been encouraged to formulate his own ideas about the book.

This genre of posts always get the most likes, because how else are we supposed to show that blacks read too, and therefore the reading "community" (it feels so stupid to even refer to people who read novels as a "community") is diverse! They did the same with knitting, every featured designer/crafter had to be black and/or a tranny, because something about breaking barriers.

The difference between blacks and other groups is that they don’t understand that their situation isn’t unique to them. They need to see another black person doing something for them to believe it’s possible for them to do. It seems like it’s an inherent inferiority complex, which explains all their “we wuz kangz” and “we’re going to breed white people out of existence” ideology. They’re too stupid to scheme that long though and the Jews are finding out their black golems aren’t good at following orders or being patient.

Re: ruining books, saved the best for last.

Everything about this just pisses me off. The way she's bouncing around doing a little dance. The "my girl...don't play", just to show you're actually not totally literate, although you can tell she is really trying to speak English. The whole outfit, from the fake hair and nails to the giant earrings to the "booty shorts" to the trashy hot pink shirt with a cut-out in the cleavage. All together, it's just so repulsive, and the fact that the author shares videos like this is enough to convince me that I am definitely not the target demographic.

I held my nose when I voted for Trump—maybe we'll at least get FBI UCR data on race back if he wins re-election—but regardless even whites LARPing as Vikings and Praetorian Guard is at a bare minimum at least potentially truer than any of the following:

In least the African-American defense, they are descended from those selected to be the most stupid and docile at the time for slavery. For Africans they are a product of the environment, a lot of diseases and parasites that made them not capable of evolving and having the ability to build a advance society like the rest of the planet. For instance the hook worm, which is quite nasty, life cycle is quite interesting if your not grossed out easily.
