According to my sources (webmd), bath salts can be a brown powder. I'm guessing it's something like that. Or maybe a research chemical.

I don't think it's kratom. I don't know how the market for it works in MN since it was made illegal in 2023, but it's usually kept in a thicker resealable bag sort of like what coffee comes in, not a ziploc bag or baggie. It also has a very pungent smell.

Can prosecution "hold out" on this? Like "oh yeah, we figured out this brown shit is X illegal drug, but we'll drop this silently if you cooperate with us for the (not so nice) plea deal instead of fighting a full on jury trial where we ram you a new asshole?"
Cops can lie in interrogations to get a confession, but prosecutors can't lie about stuff like that. That would be prosecutorial misconduct. Something like that could possibly get a mistrial with prejudice.

Edit: I am specifically referring to the scenario where it's nothing or it doesn't test, and the prosecutor lies saying that it did test positive for something and if he doesn't take a shitty plea they'll charge him with an additional crime.

Does Noseferatu's convictions on his traffic violations in the last day or two have any bearing on the criminal case? Pattern of reckless behavior, disdain for the law etc. Or can they not be taken into account in a criminal trial?

(the only purpose of omnibus hearing)
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language 5th Edition said:
omnibus (adjective)
Pertaining to or dealing with a variety of topics at one time.
Note: IANAL, unless you count language lawyering.
Lawdogs, is the contested omnibus hearing his chance to get the warrant thrown out?
Yes, see below.
Can someone tell me what exactly happens in the omnibus hearing? It’s not the start of the trial right?
See post by @Swerf'n'Terf . I will also link to MN's rules:
Omnibus (rule 11): https://www.revisor.mn.gov/court_rules/cr/id/11/
Omnibus (combined with rule 8 ): https://www.revisor.mn.gov/court_rules/cr/id/8/
Rule 5 (already seen): https://www.revisor.mn.gov/court_rules/cr/id/5/

At Nick's rule 5 hearing a.k.a. Nick's Zoom call from jail, he waived his right to a speedy trial and requested a combined rule 8 and 11 omnibus hearing. Best I can tell, the rule 8 hearing is just a rule 5 hearing but after having time to actually select your own lawyer and talk to them.

The omnibus hearing is "the pre-trial stuff". This would include his chance to challenge the warrant and perform Barnes behavior (11.02(a,b,g)). It also may include the pretrial conference and/or a plea deal.

No impact whatsoever on the drug case. Some impact with regards to CPS or when Kayla finally files for divorce and the kids. He's been driving the kids around like this. They tend to frown on that.

It was suggested a few pages back that if he tries to convince the court he deserves leniency for being a good boy who din otherwise du nuffin this can be used to prove otherwise.

Maybe. But I honestly don't think any of the traffic stuff will have any major impact on the drug case. Maybe ancillary to the child neglect.

CPS operates differently. They will take it as a clear sign of an unsafe and irresponsible environment. The nonstop non responded to moving violations will be a huge red flag to them returning the kids.

Sasafras [methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA)], which is similar to molly [MDMA] is a brownish powder. It looks kind of like a brown, sugary substance. With variations I'm sure on shading of color.
Nick's profile for drug usage seems to be stimulant (cocaine), looking for euphoric feelings (MDA/MDMA), and then he chills out (lowers inhibitions) with a drink.
I personally find it fascinating how he seems to have no interest in psychedelics like mushrooms, Peyote, or LSD. No searching here. He's like Tony Montana he wants the world and its pleasures.
He doesn't need mellow drugs like marijuana to relax.
No, my theory is Rackets wants to get up and coom as hard as possible with as much energy as possible. He limp dicks himself with the alcohol, and numbs himself with cocaine, so to make up for that maybe he throws in some kind of euphoric agent. This is of course all speculation. I just don't know a "brown powder" drug that fits his wealthy "party" guy profile better than Sasafras. He could probably get it from the same source as his powder connect. It would "make everything funny".

Are the coke paranoid delusions still going on or is this just balldomale at core? He truly believes that public document releases are timed to fuck with him, specifically- not even because of what's in them, who cares about the kids, amirite? :really: but because it interferes with his stream scheduling.
Just no words.
Edit: remember this?

The kids TESTED POSITIVE FOR COCAINE. I guess that's gone from 'definitely a lie' to 'absolutely no room for doubt is a lie'.1718788937843.png
Why pay bail if CPS is testing you regardless? Is it just doubling up on the piss tests? I guess this means he might be sober after all. Might be.

...nevermind. More fool me for thinking positive for once.

Oh jesus fucking christ. With a level that high above the cutoff on a hair follicle test that means the kid was -regularly- exposed to the cocaine. not just got into it once. I... I really don't want to know why a nine year old was regularly exposed to a hard drug.

my worthless speculation is that the kid just liked rubbing it on her gums because it feels tingly. i used to tongue fuck 9 volt batteries as a kid because it felt tingly. also liked pouring orajel in my mouth for the same reason. kids are dumb. and also this is the least horrifying option so i'm going to believe it until proven otherwise.

Regardless though, you don't get that high a concentration in your hair without getting really high in the process several times over...

I have no idea of American law but would the prosecution use this to revoke his good boy privileges in terms of first offense. They could use his constant speeding too if they really wanted to be petty and say the only reason he does not have a record per se is he kept paying fines etc. This feels like classic trust fund kid mindset where they think they are above all others. The CPS findings are pretty damning and I am pretty sure those kids will be put in foster care now. I assume they aren't with Kayla's family because the protectors have bias and the mother has easy access to the kids. I think come next year the eldest is going to wipe their hands clean of the family and because he has a girlfriend I have heard some cases where some families extend an olive branch and take them in. Nick is such an ultra mega piece of shit and he deserves no presence online. The defence is going to go with Sweep tampered etc which is just fucking insane but Nick is a retard lawyer who has won 0 cases.

In the thread specific to the document, people did some digging. The levels found are apparently indicative of "regular" cocaine use.
If the kid's coke level is over 5000, then we can all say with confidence what Nick's level was during the Coke Stream....
