It was never great but it was interesting. People scoffed at it at release and it failed for a reason, then it became some sort of cult hit and people demanded a sequel that would (obviously) fail. I was one of the not-that-many people that bought it on release and enjoyed it. Not because it was good but because it was interesting.
Yeah, Mirror's Edge is one of those games where I might have played the demo more than the full game. Once the novelty of its parkour mechanics wear off, it's just not that great of a game.

A new Perfect Dark was announced. It's not Perfect Dark.

The comments and like-dislike ratio are mixed.
Looks kinda trite, to be perfectly honest.

What if everything you know... turned out to be a lie?

Then you're shit at gathering intelligence and deserve the bullet, like the idiots in Bourne Legacy that took their suicide pills like good little drones.

I also found it weird how the gameplay was of a fairly bog standard "Get in, get the guy, get out" which is Joana's original mission skill (Bail bondsman) but the story being told over the gameplay seems almost completely divorced from that.

Seems like the combat flight sim DCS world is in trouble. Article

RAZBAM one of the bigger DLC/Module makers for DCS world who makes the

AV8-B Harrier$70
Mirage 2000C$60
Mig-19$50
F-15E(Most recent)$65

Razbam made an announcement in April saying that basically they would not be updating or offering support for their products until Eagle Dynamics(DCS Devs) resolved some at the time unstated issue with them. Eagle dynamics replied the same day basically saying that this mythical issue was their fault and they were violating contractual obligations. Razbam eventually shared that this was regarding Eagle Dynamics being late on paying them for several months.

Eagle Dynamics seems to be the shitty party so far by not stopping sales of Razbams AAA priced products despite the very real possibility that they might not receive any updates.

It's worth nothing Eagle Dynamics had another issue with a DLC vendor in 2019 who decided to bail on their customers after releasing the T-1 Hawk. Eagle Dynamics offered to continue support but for some reason the developers refused to give them the source code leading to ED having to refund customers out of pocket. Since then Devs are now forced to provide source code if they cease support. But the F-15E is not a complete product and is in early access still, ED would have to not only keep it working in future game versions but also add additional features.

It seems like for the newer F15E Eagle Dynamics has refunded some users who have requested it while denying others. But refunds given have been in store credit.

I just finished the Switch port of Doom Eternal, while I have the PS4 version I got the Switch port just to try it out and because it was super cheap. I really liked it. the only issue is the graphics (which yeah are not going to look good on a system that underpowered) but everything else was fantastic. It ran just as fast as the other versions and I did not have any slow down playing it. There was an issue where the game crashed but that only happened once. I really like the game and the Switch port is really good

I was recently replaying ME1 and was initially confused as to why I have such bitter memories of the little buggy thing. Then I got to Nodacrux. I'm convinced it's a practical joke.

As if KF2 didn't shit the bed with the god awful Summer 2018 update and weapon DLCs. Its dead, Jim.
I wasn't fan of KF2 ditching the gritty industrial and grindhouse looks of the OG, as well as the lack of camping strategies, when I played it once during a free weekend long ago.
Also nothing beats the voicelines of KF1 and the 'beep beep' coming from a hundred of pipebombs on the ground. Unforgettable sounds and memories, they will never be replicated.

There are pretty good Switch ports of 8th gen titles previously deemed impossible, such as Nier Automata and Earth Defense Force 4.1 which are both virtually the same experience as in playing on a PS4. Heard good things about Dying Light and Kingdom Come too but I'm especially looking forward to Ace Combat 7 on the hybrid console next month.

I have the Switch port of Nier Automata and yeah it looked virtually identical to ps4. I need to finish that game actually

I was making fun of black people in A&H and I was suddenly, apropos of nothing, reminded of V Rising. I recalled that before the current 1.0 release, before the Gloomrot update, 90% of your game time led you to the Dunley Farmlands and harvesting cotton for the second tier of armor. V Rising used to have black people mixed in with the whites, farming. Keep in mind this is a game where you can not only slaughter the farmers in the field or drink their blood on the spot, but you can also consciously set fire to their fields and destroy the farmstead, or choose to enslave the workers and walk them back to your castle to live out their lives in cages to be used as a blood bank and fed rats, or enslaved into undeath to patrol your castle and go on gathering missions offline.

V Rising removed their black people, whites only in Vardoran now. I suppose they weighed their options and thought diversity in my hands was not a great idea, and better to simply whitewash the game. Smart choice.

Still Wakes The Deep is on gamepass, it's exactly what you'd expect. I've seen two monsters in the two hours I've played, I don't think I'll play any more unless someone tells me it gets really good. It has a hint system you can turn on, but I assume if you do it just tells you to press w, since that's pretty much all you do.

Funnily enough I actually played another Scottish cosmic horror walking simulator today, I also got It Sleeps Below The Haar - like no one goes under the lighthouse or stars die it uses the morrowind style lofi graphics to good effect, but it needs more direction at the end. I found it more unsettling than still wakes the deep though.

You think they're OK letsplay fodder? Might give them a watch on a second screen while I play slightly better games(only slightly).

That's how I plan on finishing still wakes the deep, but I usually find I only get enjoyment out of those lofi horror games if I'm fully immersed in them, because otherwise it's not so much that I can see the strings as it is I can't see anything else.
