Elden Ring

Well I was wrong about the leaks.

I
still think Miquella being Griffith is retarded.[/ISPOILER]
Yeah, the part where he rapes Ranni in front of the Tarnished was a little much. What was Fromsoft thinking

But seriously, I called it when what little we knew of him was them shoving all the "he's Griffith" stuff in our faces. I would have been more surprised if they didn't go with that with how blatant it was.

That's why you gotta go on a internet fast whenever something you care about goes up. With how much Google monitors your activity, you're gonna get spoilers right away especially if you use Google News or YouTube.
FUCK I click on one fextralife video about early stuff to go in the new DLC and now my feed is nothing but boss spoilers and other associated junk.

Killed a side boss and I honestly feel great. Didn't expect Mohg to buy into a naked mole rat cult, nor did I expect to get Great Value™ Mohg as my reward for killing the big stick wielding mole rat, but I'm not entirely against it. Also appreciate them pre-infusing the weapon standard with the innate skill so you can change the infusions and keep the ash and see the normal scaling, that's fantastic.

Played for around 1h30m. Found my first actual boss the Lion guy, he is peak camera eating monstrosity that spergs out around the arena, I hate it.
Tried to fighting him a couple of times as a summon, but died both times before even getting to 75% HP. I'll probably just explore somewhere else, and come back once I'm stronger.
It's just weird that he is so strong because the legacy dungeon he is in is pretty straightforward.

mmmmmmmm you sexy thing.jpg

Stoked out of my mind that this exists. On my unga-bunga right now but my prophet will be obtaining this later.
edit: began blood taxing trash mobs this is even more unga per bunga than I'm used to! What a great fucking talisman.

Throwing daggers and perfumer weapon acquired! Tried them both and the movesets are great, specially for the daggers. Still weird how they require faith and intelligence.

Light Greatsword named Milady acquired. This thing's pretty cool. Fancy moveset, new stance isn't far from it and is a good fit for it. Not sure it'll replace the Claymore as my favorite standard weapon, but it's up there.

Haven't gotten very far, only beat three bosses so far. They hit like a truck even against a NG+ setup.

I can’t believe he did that to his Own sister. His father’s daughter..

Having Faith you actually hit your targets with them daggers.
And being Intelligent enough not to self-delete/ sabotage using perfumes or scents. Heheheheh

One hour in and I'm loving this so far. The map is beautiful.

The first fog door I found, the gaol knight or whatever, took almost ten tries to beat. First fucking boss I found 10 minutes in.

I'm not even going to try and touch the first giant wicker man I ran across. Managed to stay out of range but that ranged attack looked scary as shit.

God I'm gonna be up all night, work is gonna be rough tomorrow, but I'm gonna be up all night again tomorrow, and all weekend

I feel like I felt as a kid playing ocarina of time for the first time, just like i did 2 years ago.

Consooming with zero shame rn.

What I like:

Fun map with good art design

I like the lower half of the map with the jumping

New weapons and spells are fun

Reused bosses are used sparingly

What I don’t like:

Seems like you are forced in a certain direction, I went to the Coast first and tried getting the more mountainous area.

Some enemies are like Dark Souls 2. A few animations and then they freak out.

What I don’t understand:

So Radhan told Miquella no way fag and the little homo sent Melania to force him to come with him. Melania loses and has a woman moment because she’s a fujoshi and wants to see Radhan rearrange Miquella’s intestines. Radhan despite being mindfucked by Melania’s rot continues to scream no way fag as Miquella tries to mindfuck him until we kill him. Mogh dindu nuffin, was brainwashed, and his corpse is used as a meat puppet in order to control Radhan until the brainwashing kicks in. Mesmer is not important to the plot at all nor are the Horned Sent.

I like the gameplay and new mechanics.

Just got to the Suppressing Pillar and wow, what a view. I love that the telescope exists sometimes.

i'm running to mohg on a ng+ character and something just hit me only now at altus; there is never a sun but there are stars the moons and the erdtree

Found a surprising amount of negative comments in the steam page. My biggest question is related to performance and particle effects making things chug. Anybody can report on having or not having these sorts of issues? I expect to get into it in like half a day but it wouldn't be a long session anyway, so I can wait out a first performance patch if things really are a bit shitty.

Dung Eater niggas, you've been blessed once more. Just gotta kill yet another tree spirit in a ravine. Really though I'm glad they thought about this, I like the reusable items even if they're a bit shit. Need to test with Last Rites.
