LOL "no wrongdoing was acknowledged" is such a weird way to phrase that. That and why do these people keep this stuff Underwraps? If you have a suspected Pedo/Rapist with plausible proof you should out it. I get not wanting to string him up but atleast say "We have found Dr.Disrespect texting a minor using out chat system to meet up with a minor. No evidence of it actually happening but we don't want to take the risk to our brand"
His tweet sounded suspicious as fuck, but then again we've been conditioned to be suspicious of statements that are clearly written by lawyers. I wouldn't go as so far to say that "you might as well have abused the kid", but I agree that you're definitely doing something terrible. You are literally letting them get away with it, not only for the victim but possible future victims as well. So Twitch/vidya "journalists", if this is true, did you just let someone get away with soliciting a minor (a criminal offense!!!) by not informing law enforcement? He's been streaming for 4 years since then, who knows what he could've done since then. You're not only accusing w/o evidence, you're admitting that you might be complicit in the coverup.
This is pretty normal legal settlement speak. Both sides are usually forbidden from discussing the terms of the settlement and breaking that secret opens you to legal penalties.
