His tweet sounded suspicious as fuck, but then again we've been conditioned to be suspicious of statements that are clearly written by lawyers. I wouldn't go as so far to say that "you might as well have abused the kid", but I agree that you're definitely doing something terrible. You are literally letting them get away with it, not only for the victim but possible future victims as well. So Twitch/vidya "journalists", if this is true, did you just let someone get away with soliciting a minor (a criminal offense!!!) by not informing law enforcement? He's been streaming for 4 years since then, who knows what he could've done since then. You're not only accusing w/o evidence, you're admitting that you might be complicit in the coverup.

This is pretty normal legal settlement speak. Both sides are usually forbidden from discussing the terms of the settlement and breaking that secret opens you to legal penalties.

Not knowing what the logs say until someone leaks it there might be no proof either way if they where Truly underage or if he was just under the impression. My points still stands either way there should have been a release of why he was banned if this was true. It could have been a pure statement of the facts i.e. he was messaging someone who identified/was identified as underage. I hate how people will make stupid policy's to protect kids but will never do anything when actual grooming happens.

The OP says multiple people knew about it behind scenes, so.. Not a conspiracy, pointing out that apperently people knew, and it's odd/implausible it wouldn't have come to light to a bigger audience sooner.
I didn't say they'd be covering up illegal activities via an NDA. I mentioned an NDA as a reason as to why Twitch employees who knew about it wouldn't speak about it.

@MidZeRo made a good reply but I will also add that you can technically sue anyone for anything at any time, it's just that you aren't guaranteed to win. And even if you don't win it can still be exorbitant for the person you're suing to dismiss the case.

Of course, that doesn't morally justify Twitch otherwise not acting on this information and failing to forward it to law enforcement to properly investigate him.

I meant this ex-twitch employees accusation sounds like a conspiracy because for this to be true it'd require multiple people (including ones outside of twitch) to remain silent... for some reason?
