Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

So now that Trump has won, what do you guys think are the reasons why he won?
By all means, mark me late as fuck but I can think of one pretty huge reason why Trump won:

Wow a non liberal movie star? If he is in it, I'll buy a ticket to the next movie just to support his career.

IMHO, Michael Rooker comes off to me as being more libertarian-ish than anything else, but he's never been one to get vocally and actively political unless it involves the Second Amendment (and he made a pro-Brexit post a couple months back, fwiw). Even then, he exercises a surprising amount of restraint. Something I think a lot of those Hollywood types should take a hint from.

Not to mention, Johnson supporters were far more likely to have taken votes from Trump than Clinton.

It's funny, because I had people tell me that by voting for third parties, I'd essentially be voting for Clinton. I'm not happy that Trump is president, mind you, but I am happy to have somewhat of the last laugh.

I'm predicting that we're going to have a number of people making very emotional facebook posts about how we need to institute tests to ensure that only educated people get to vote. You know, because Jim Crow laws were such a big success.

Oh yes let's stop CERTAIN PEOPLE from voting because theyre DIFFERENT!
Yknow for people who decry fascists, they certainly seem to enjoy their ideas.

I'm a creative arts student and my college's whole CA department is as liberal as one would expect and tho respect many of my peers and my professors, frankly, I'm predicting a grim atmosphere with high sodium content. Should be good.

I'm also taking an Old Testament studies class rn where I'm one of two
White students (the other being a good friend of mine who is a pretty big lib) and the professor is super liberal so I can't wait to see what next class will be like

Nate Silver was the only person in that sphere of politics who even gave Trump a realistic chance at winning. In retrospect I think he's actually true to his numbers and if his numbers had been more accurate he'd have reported it honestly.
Having good numbers is his job though.

The moderator on Channel Awesome forums just REEEEE'd the fuck out and closed the Election thread because a couple of the members weren't treating the results with the solemness they obviously deserve.

Yeah, I'm not buying the whole "Be nice to people" schtick, because if Hillary had won, he'd be encouraging the things he fought against. I'm sure there's ample evidence that he's a passive aggressive dirtbag that masquerades as a nice and reasonable person, but I'm not wading into that cesspool to find out.
