They grew up during the Bush era, a man who couldn't string a sentence together without committing some sort of hate crime against grammar or verbal structure, and had Darth Vader as his VP puppetmaster. I don't see how they think this one will be the "big one".

She's also very power hungry iirc correctly, and has a bit of a trigger concerning war. Anyone who'd disagree with her she'd probably sent the troops after them and declare the next War.

I had a very serious and debilitating illness earlier this year that kept me laid up for a long time. I haven't really talked about it on here save for a single other quick mention. While the illness itself has gone away, I'm still in for a long recovery period. I had to quit school, and didn't work enough for SSDI, so I ended up having to go on SSI. Right now, I'm kinda dependent on it and will be screwed big time if they tamper with that. My only major concern is this proposal to privatize/eliminate Social Security. That's the only thing that legitimately worries me about this whole thing.
I'm not TOO worried, though because they STILL can't just do whatever they want. They tried privatizing Social Security in 2005 with a Republican-controlled house and senate, but couldn't. Just hoping that stays the same, at least until I'm well enough to be able to not give a shit.

I grew up under Clinton and I don't remember a damn thing about him apart from the blowjobs. I didn't start paying attention to politics until I was in high school and that was partly because 9/11 happened. My baby sister was born in 1997, she doesn't remember the Bush years as well as the Obama years because at the time Bush wasn't relevant to her interests at all.

But Obama, you know, the entire country was talking about how his election was a revolution. He was hyped up like a demi-god to these kids who knew fuck all about politics or the government. They can't fathom the thought of Trump because he's none of the things that they were told Obama would be, not to mention the feeling of your vote not being heard on your first election is pretty upsetting. I can sympathize. I just wish they had adults in their lives who could tell them to calm their tits.
