It's been expanded to 'wants to fuck someone under age' which is the natural evolution of language. One word tends to become dominant for an idea and consumes all the words around it. I'm more concerned with people wanting to argue hebephilia is different to pedophilia and 'if there's grass on the field, play ball" mentality they promote. There is always something very wrong with those people.

As a streamer you shouldn't be engaging with your fans sexually and having a living record in it is a time bomb waiting to pop. A modern problem we've yet to solve is teenage girls like this knowing it's illegal but trying to bait their e-celebrity crushes into engaging with them. Good parenting prevents it but there's too many bad parents and any engagement except immediate rejection will get you fired from your job.

What I don't understand is why Dr. Disrespect would even confess this online and NOT expect major backlash? Literally NO ONE besides pedos would even think that sexting a minor is ok. No matter how you spin this, you are a piece of shit if you knowingly sext a minor. He could have said anything, either "That's not true" or "I genuinely thought she was 24" or had not said anything at all and let his fucking lawyers handle this.

Instead, he believed that his fans would go out to protect him if he admits to all of this. Dr. Disrespect believes that if he confesses, people would instantly give him pity points and protect him. What's with youtubers in thinking that admitting to shit would NOT backfire spectacularly?

Check age of consent laws, and see what close-in-age law means. You can't necessarily consent under 18, even if the law necessarily describes a lower age of consent for sexual contact. These lower ages of consent are usually to facilitate teenagers making contact with other teenagers, not teenagers having sexual encounters with grown adults with families.

Yes but the post you replied to explicitly mentioned the fact it's been watered down to include people under 25, as in LEGAL ADULTS OF VOTING, DRINKING, AND GAMBLING AGE.

Trying to deny it outright would just get him turbofucked if someone could pull up receipts, which is very possible if people that kept quiet until now have started talking again. The only smart move would've been to ignore all the bad press and keep entertaining his core audience. Plenty of scumfucks have managed to maintain a decent enough career that way. Guy Beahm is probably too far up his own ass to not fuck himself over in such a scenario.
