Seconding this. Nowhere has it been said the kid was 17, afaik. Honestly I don't even think a gender has been specified. Could the lack of specific age mentioned mean the minor was even younger than assumed? My tinfoil theory is that the chats were nothing prosecutable/reportable, but the kid was like 9-13 and should not have been on Twitch at all and they were trying to cover their ass with a settlement.
