It would remove the theoretical dem candidate from a lot of ballots. And while I am sure the very left-wing states would make sudden exceptions... not all the swing states would. And that would narrow down where Trump has to focus which would remove the -only- upside they got from the lawfare.

I don't think not having the Democrat candidate be on the ballot is as big a deal as people say. Anybody who would vote Democrat on the ballot would still just vote for the same Democrat as a write in. It's slightly more annoying for that voter, but it isn't like the Democrats would just vote R because it was the only option written in.

This goes for trying to take Trump off the ballot as well.

Any competent campaign staff would have never agreed to this debate. Unlike us, they all have everyday firsthand knowledge of how badly Biden has deteriorated. Keeping him locked away from public eyes is a bad look, sure, and will fuel people speculating about his condition, but that’s a billion times better than banking on the 0.1% chance that he doesn’t fuck up hilariously.
