It's the same conundrum they had six months ago. If they replace Biden, it will destroy them. Newsom alone polls way worse.

If they keep Biden, it will probably destroy them also

Thinking on it some more the real hilarity watching from Leafland is this situation will likely play out the same as with Trudeau. The federal Libs just lost a by-election in a heavily Liberal urban riding that is now producing calls for Trudeau to resign. Problem is, even if the Sock Boy fell on his sword, there's no one who wants the poisoned chalice since it means leading the party into a guaranteed wipe out next election.

Wouldn't shock me if similar conversations are happening since who would want the ignominy of potentially giving Trump the American version of an electoral sweep? If Biden is replaced it'll be to mitigate the effects down ballot - and there's every possibility it actually enhances the oncoming disaster.

No, that's just good politics. Now when Biden bows out, it doesn't look like a set up and he remains "loyal", only doing because it is what must be done to protect our democracy. Newsom knows already, right this second, that he will be the next president. The bots are pushing out the message on Twitter and reddit that Newsom should replace Biden.

I have never been more sure of anything than this: Newsom is their pick and has been for a while. They have been priming the drones for months.

That might be the smart move. Just let Trump have the Presidency. Focus on downballot. The GOP have pissed off so many people there's no guarantee Trump can drag them over the finish line this time

And if the Democrats control the House and Senate, Trump will more than likely not get certified. Or, if he does, he'll get impeached
