It's the same problem stemming from different reasons. Trudeau is coherent, but he's also increasingly detested and seen as an anchor dragging the Libs into complete annihilation. Both leaders are seen equally as unfit for office yet continue to cling to power for whichever reason. The fear in both cases comes out of their respective rank and file growing very scared about their own job prospects because of it.

Considering the panic, I think there is now good chance for dems to run someone else.

Nah they legitimately thought they could drug up and couch him to do well. They aren't smart and 100% believe their own propaganda. If resorting to replacing a sitting president on the ballot was their plan all along, they would have had Biden announce he was only going to serve a single term. They would have had time to build up someone like Newsom instead of coming off as desperate.

The problem is I think there’s at least 3 factions with their own competing interests:

1. The media industrial complex. They are proggy true believers who genuinely think that their blue shithole mayors and governors stand a chance. Covering for Biden is probably the first time they’ve ever felt like the disgusting propagandists that they are, because they’re forced to confront the obvious disconnect between what they truly believe (that Biden is a demented husk unfit for office) and the party lines they must parrot. They only ever reluctantly got onboard with Biden, and have decided that their own favored candidates have a better shot and are no longer carrying water for Biden.

2. The DNC. They know Biden is in a dire state, but are also politically savvy enough to know that he’s really the only hope they’ve got of actually winning. They already made the decision months ago that they’re ride or die with Biden, and it’s simply too late for them to change course in the literal sense that if Biden drops now, some states might just not have a D candidate on the ballot at all.

3. Biden’s inner circle led by DOCTOR Jill. They are 100% invested in Biden, but they are also too retarded to realize that Biden is the emperor with no clothes.

My current theory is that the DNC and Biden’s camp (obviously) were pro-Biden but got lured into a trap by the media faction, who no doubt promised them that everything would be tilted in Biden’s favor with all of their ridiculous conditions. Hell, they even fooled us into believing that it would be a one-sided pile-on on Trump.

Kamala as VP is such a disaster move for them. If they had anyone semi viable there they might be able to do something but she is probably the most unpopular politician and is worse then current Biden when speaking.

Newsom isn't even that popular in CA he's faced multiple recalls and only wins because CA is incredibly fucked up politically and effectively perma rigged at a state political level. He would be blasted in any battleground state as he is currently and needs at least 4 years to build himself up nationwide.

Down ballot is def the best way to go since we know GOP cucks are gonna go against Trump the entire 4 years he's in office just like last time. They need to just give up 2024 at a presidential level and fully turn to 2028 with Newsom or big mike.

I think CNN may be motivated by money. CNN attacked Trump very hard during his presidency because that gave them amazing ratings and showered them in money, but when they cheerleader for Biden that kept dropping. Right around the time that Fox had a hostile takeover and became the RINO network, CNN started shifting back to having journalistic integrity. They still have to boot out the DEI cheerleaders they hired to replace honest journalists, but that's suddenly a lot easier now.
