Mega Rad Gun Thread

Something rare, especially in a Military context. (Presumably) Russian produced AR with Zenitco Joker rail. RusFor usage of western designed or styled small arms is scattered and schizophrenic, I recently heard about a VDV Guy who has been using a captured M4 and loving it. I also distinctly remember a Kadyrovite using a Russian produced model during the early days of the SMO.

To seemingly nonexistent fanfare, a small SOT/FFL has announced their mission of bringing a .300 Blackout VSS Vintorez clone to market. This comes after the previous group to take up this quest, Slagga Manufacturing having not posted an update for 3 years

As per MATI at this very moment, Josh is indeed considering the M82 for home defense use.

That's.... a thought.

(Josh: It's a massive fucking meme. The '50 cal sniper rifle' is THIRTY FUCKING POUNDS and nine grand.)
He is also going to get a RPG-7. He is fully fucking serious. Well, i guess Airtronic makes them lol. Prepare to get your life history searched Jersh

He'd be better off just getting a 7.62 NATO gun that he can carry because it fucks level 4 plates up and won't break his bank.

So, @Null, please get either a FAL, AR-10, or a G3 derived design if you really do need something that does the job of fucking plated people up. .50 cal is for actual vehicles and above.

Yes, but he's theorycrafting for the theoretical case of tranny death squads with multiple stacked level 4 plates.

If you're worried about armor, what this guy says, go get a good AR-10 or SCAR-H or a PTR and there you go.

(I've been avoiding this whole discussion but wow.)

You know that's the sane option. Josh is beyond that. @Null, you need to get a fucking 40 Mike Mike, a M32 revolver grenade launcher with HEDP rounds for maximum armor punch

If you're going to go big Josh, go big or go home

Josh, just get a 20-inch AR in 5.56. The extra velocity helps penetrate armor. Or just get a 7.62x39 rifle. The biggest thing I'd get would be a .308; you'll still be paying over a dollar a round. Level 4 body armor is expensive. In that picture of the tranch people, I don't even think they have plates in those carriers. People will get really spergy over body armor and night vision.

Issue with 7.62x39 is that most or all production is in Eastern Europe, so future supply isn't exactly guaranteed.
AAC (PSA) is making steel case in the US theres still a LOT in the country just expect to pay 40-50c a round it's also superior to 556/223 for hunting as most states require 30cal and up its nowhere near an oddball cartridge

I didn't know anyone had started up domestic manufacture. I wasn't trying to imply that it's an oddball round, just that it's likely to be less available and more expensive than 5.56.

He will change his mind the second he has to run a course of fire with it.
If he's bedbound after snapping his spine when attempting that at least he can spend more time working on the forum. *sigh*

The only Aguila experience I've had is it completely refusing to eject from my Marlin Model 60.
It smells great! Don't know why I remember that in particular. CCI is better, but Aguila was more available and cheaper last time I was stocking up.
